Character Personality:
The resident mad scientist, Hange is driven by her hunger for knowledge. This can range anywhere from Titans to whatever gossip is sweeping through the Corps. Her eccentric behavior and tendency to dive headlong into most situations causes many people to shy away from her. Her complete disregard for her personal safety is a stress to anyone around her, most of all her second in command, Moblit Berner. Her hyperactive tendencies can be a lot to deal with coupled with her insatiable curiosity. She is terribly meddlesome and will take the tiniest bit of information and inflate it quickly, often shocking others.
Hange has a view all her own when it comes to Titans, even showing to be deeply emotional over their well being as seen during her experimentation with Sonny and Bean. She has a desire to see Titans from a different perspective than the usual rage and hate. She gets deeply involved in her experiments, often neglecting to eat or sleep for days at a time without much notice until exhaustion strikes.
She still cares deeply for humanity despite her outlook on Titans. When the Titan is discovered inside Wall Rose after the incident with Annie, she is outraged over Pastor Nick's reaction and hangs him over Wall Sina, threatening to drop him and explaining many lives were lost due to his religion and their secrets. She does, however, give him time to reconsider and allows him to live.
Character History:
When we first see Hange, she is excitedly awaiting the departure of their expedition as they are leaving Trost as the trio watch on. She actively teases Levi about how the masses wouldn't admire him if they knew what a clean freak he was. She goes on to say she hopes to see a Deviant Type, to which Levi responds he already sees an abnormal. Hange looks around excitedly to have her head grabbed by Levi and told she is the abnormal.
Later she is part of the group tasked with bringing Eren to his Tribunal and watches with amusement and interest when Levi beats him. Afterwards, she is fascinated to find that the tooth Levi knocked out had grown back. After they move to the Scout Regiment HQ, she explains to Eren she is responsible for experimenting on the captured Titans: Sonny and Bean. After spending the night talking to Eren about previous experiments, they are interrupted by the news Sonny and Beam have been killed, sending Hange into an emotional meltdown. After this she begins her experimentation on Eren. Discouraged when they discover his powers are not activated at will, she abandons transformation experimentation for some time. When Eren accidentally transforms just his arm during tea with the Scouts, she comes to speculate that he must have a clear objective in mind in order to activate them.
During their attempt to capture Annie in the Forest of Giant Trees, she is among those who Erwin revealed his plan to from the beginning, fitting Eld's speculation he didn't tell anyone who became a member after the fall of Wall Maria for fear they might be spies. She openly mocks Annie after they use the Special Target Capture Weapon to apprehend her and wonders what must be taking Levi and Mike so long when she begins to roar and is devoured by the onslaught of Titans.
After her rampage in Stohess and they again apprehend Annie using the STCW, Hange mocks her again, telling her she is too far in this time to get Titans to devour her. She goes on to say that she will be the one to devour Annie and every bit of information she can get from her. She curses the insufficient number of traps when Annie shakes free, leading in her pursuit. When the ordeal ends with Annie encased in crystal, Hange is less than pleased, but is distracted by a hole in the Wall caused in the skirmish. A hole with the face of a Titan. She goes on to threaten a nearby Pastor Nick and holds him over Sina while demanding answers. When he refuses, she comes to speculate this must be why their religion had been so against modifications to the Walls, despite Nick' s refusal to share any information.
Character Abilities/Powers:
When it comes to the science behind Titans, there is no one more knowledgeable than Hange. Her lectures tend to be long and detailed and there are few people who can sit through one of them without falling asleep. While reckless, she is highly skilled when it comes to the 3DMG and her combat skills aren't bad either. Much like Erwin, she has the uncanny ability to just know things and is prone to eavesdropping and spying. (That's an ability, right? Lol)

World View:
She is the mad scientist, but she has the greater good of humanity in mind. Everything she does, she does to find an answer. Most of the time. She is an extension of Erwin in many ways, playing into whatever agenda he currently has going and helping him to pull all the strings. He can't possibly do it alone, right?
Random Facts:
-Hange is even more crazy when she has been drinking. Drinking with her is not advised.
-Her favorite foods are anything portable because she is more often than not moving.
-She WILL touch you and ask to experiment on you. Get over it.

So sorry I haven't been around recently. I've been...
I would like a chance to talk to all of these newcomers. ALL of you, if possible. I think knowing the circumstances of each of your arrivals here is important in understanding what is going on.
