Personality:
Jacob has the uncanny ability to change his personality to whatever best suits the situation in which he finds himself. He's very quick to pick up on the moods of those around them and use that to his advantage. He is at heart an opportunist, and he uses the considerable skills he has to help aid him in getting the things he wants and needs.

Special Abilities: Jacob is an excellent people person, he can make nearly anyone like him and has a way about him that puts people at ease helping them to open up to him despite not having known him long. This has helped him over the years, he learned early on that his looks could get him the things he wanted, he started out with simple things like sweets and slowly worked his way up until he was able to get information out of people.
Strengths: Jacob is very good at reading people and then molding his personality to fit that need,
Weaknesses: He's also completely self-centered, everything he does, including joining the Death Eaters is for personal gain. He doesn't particularly care about muggles and halfbloods but what he does care about is that the Dark Lord is the most powerful Wizard he's ever met before and it would be stupid of him not to join his cause - better to sit at the right hand of the devil than be destroyed by him. He's not interested in anything that isn't going to: 1. help keep him alive, 2. advance his position, 3. give him some sort of pleasure. His seduction of Peter was something he hoped to use to push himself into the highest ranks of the Dark Lord's followers.

History

Jacob comes from a very long and prestigious line of Pureblood witches and wizards. His family was very much assured of their place in society and the hierarchy of things. He and his younger brother grew up spoiled and taught that they were better than everyone else, even several pureblood families and it was a world view that he took with him to Hogwarts.

He was sorted into Slytherin when he arrived at Hogwarts continuing the proud tradition his family had upheld for years. And he excelled in his classes, even earning a spot in the Slug Club over the years thanks to his academic record and his quidditch abilities. Though schooling and quidditch were just the necessary steps he needed to take in order to move his way through the world the way he wanted to.

Even during his school years he learned to use his good looks in order to gather information, from other students about their parents. He was very good at playing the concerned friend or interested lover, and it was those skills he started learning at Hogwarts were the same skills he used after he graduated.

Jacob got a job working in a shop in Knockturn alley, thanks to some of his father's connections, though the job was mostly a front. He also joined the ranks of the Death Eaters shortly after he'd finished with school due partially to his father's urgings and partially because he felt like Voldemort was most assuredly going to be the victor in the upcoming war and he wanted to be on the side of the winner. Not to mention that Voldemort's anti-muggle/halfblood adgenda was something that Jacob had grown up with and hadn't grown out of during his time at Hogwarts.

He quickly climbed through the ranks, rising from just the standard grunt men to someone who was actually given specific missions. At the end of the year in 1979 after having proven himself several times over Jacob was assigned to gather information from Peter Pettigrew, since he was so connected with members of the Order as well as James Potter whom the Dark Lord was particularly interested in.

Needing to gain Peter's trust in order to get the information his Master desired, Jacob began to woo Peter - Peter was not the sort of man Jacob had ever been attracted to, but he was good at playing his part. And through sex and lies he was able to get Peter to slowly start giving him information that he then passed on to the Dark Lord.

Jacob operated as an undercover agent of the Dark Lord, he didn't go around advertising the fact that he was a Death eater, however, the Order of the Phoenix found out that he was a Death Eater and he was killed in August of 1980 during one of their missions.
