Dragon Keeper. |
Vital Statistics |
Full Name: Charles Arthur Weasley Age: 52 Birth Date: December 12, 1972 Bloodstatus: Pureblood Residence: Occupation: Head of training new recruits at a Dragon Reserve in Wales House: Gryffindor Years: 1984-1991 |
In depth |
Personality: Charlie would likely be considered the most laid back of his siblings, he is very much interested in all the things the world has to offer and that was how he found himself in Romania not long after he finished at Hogwarts. He is an adventure and thrill seeker, though he's managed to learn how to be at least a little more mature about that as he's gotten older. The war, and losing his brother really brought Chrarlie back down to reality for a while there, feeling partially responsible for what happened - if he'd just been able to get there sooner he could have helped. He's moved on from that though, and let his brother's death sort of help him come to terms with the whole idea of life and death, and so since then he's lived by his brother's example - to enjoy life to the fullest while he still has life in him to live. Special Abilities: Charlie is quite an excellent flyer, he very nearly went into Quidditch professionally after he finished with school, but dragons had always been his great love. He's also very good with dragons, Charlie always had a natural ability when it came to magical creatures - almost communicating with them on some level. Strengths: Charlie is a people person, he laughs easily and makes friends with those he just meets. He's very good at what he does, working with dragons and training the new keepers on the reserve as well. Weaknesses: Charlie is still very much a Weasley, and as such he has a bit of the Weasley temper about him, and he can be a bit rash from time to time preferring to do what he feels is right rather than what might actually be the smarter solution. |

He's more broad than his brothers, wider in the shoudlers, even though he's not quite as tall as some of them. History |
The general Weasley family history is pretty well known. Charlie followed in Bill's footsteps at Hogwarts wanting to accomplish just as much if not more. He was spetactular at Quidditch and very nearly made a career of it, but a visit to the Romanian Dragon Reserve and Charlie was hooked, and he never looked back. He moved only a short while after he'd finished his seventh year at Hogwarts. Working on the Romanian reserve was brilliant and Charlie took to it with a natural talent. He had been recruited by Dumbledore a few years before the last war to begin recruiting foreign wizards to the cause should they ever need their help. He blamed himself partially for what happened with Fred, feeling that if he'd been able to get there sooner things would have turned out differently. He let it affect him for quite a long while until he pulled himself together and returned to Romania for several more years. And then there came an opening at a reserve in Wales, much closer to his family and Charlie had to decide if he was going to give up giving up working at the place where he'd first realized how much he loved dragons, or working closer to his faimly. And he worked at the reserve in Wales for many years, until a pretty severe injury pulled him from working directly with the dragons every day. And as such he's been training new keepers ever since, though he hasn't let them pull him from working the dragons completely just yet - no matter how much they may want to. |
