Personality:
Caradoc is generally pretty easy going, he laughs easily and gets along well with others. He's a bit of a chameleon when it comes to his personality making small adjustments depending on the particular situation he finds himself in to put others at ease and get just a bit closer than he could normally.

Special Abilities: Caradoc is a tracker, he is excellent with those sort of spells and he has a natural talent for it, and he has put it to use with the Order.
Strengths: Caradoc is focused and follows things through. He can be friendly when the situation calls for it, he can get along with almost anyone with subtle changes in his personality.
Weaknesses: Caradoc will spend the majority of his time alone if allowed. He doesn't particularly need the company of other people, though his profession as well as his involvement in the Order has kept him from turning into a hermit.

Physical Description:
Caradoc can change his appearance to suit the situation he finds himself in. At the Ministry he is always in uniform, and he keeps himself well groomed (unless he's on a case). When he's working a mission for the Order, Caradoc doesn't pay particular attention to his physical appearance. He doesn't shave and he wears muggle clothing whenever he is out in the field both for the Order and the Ministry, robes are far too bulky to be practical for actual case work. And of course being raised a proper pureblood Caradoc is able to put on well tailored dress robes for any social event that requires them without complaint.

In general though, Caradoc is a good looking man. He carries himself with confidence and he smiles easily, and laughs even easier.

History

The Dearborn line is not one of the oldest Pureblood families around but they do have their realm of influence. Caradoc was the second son born to Nathan and Penelope Dearborn, following his older brother Jasper and preceeding his younger brother Felix. They were raised to respect tradition and knew their place in society.

Caradoc enjoyed Hogwarts, he liked the chance to meet new people and learn new things during his time there. He didn't strive for positions of authority, prefering to keep himself out of the spotlight for the most part, Quidditch being the exception. He was an alternate for a few years before he was able to step up and take the Keeper position in his 5th year, which he held until he graduated

Upon completion of school Caradoc sought out a job at the Ministry of Magic, his parents would have preferred he had chosen a job with higher prospects than the hitwizard department, but as he wasn't going to be persuing a career in Quidditch (he might have been good, but not that good) Caradoc knew he wouldn't be satisfied with a desk job, no matter how much he loved knowledge - and their eldest son was doing a fine job moving up within the Ministry. So the burden of living up to all his parents expectations didn't weigh so heavily upon Caradoc's shoulders.

One particular tracking case brought Caradoc to the attention of Albus Dumbledore, who, once the case was finished approached Caradoc about joining the Order. He didn't have to consider long before he had official joined the Order and was soon going on missions around the country, as well as gathering what information he could there within the Ministry to pass on at meetings.

In 1981 Caradoc was captured by the very Death Eaters he had been tracking for weeks, and he was subsequently tortured and killed. He will be returning from a night in 1978.
