| Personality: Hestia likes to have fun, she's quick to laugh about even the smallest things, because who knows when you'll get the chance again. She likes to take life as it comes, and never plans too far into the future. She's very much the live for today type of person - she works hard at whatever is put in front of her. She is fiercely loyal and has very strong principles of what is wrong and right. And for all her live and let live views on society as a whole there are some things she just cannot let pass without comment (these things include but are not limited to: the importance of Harry Potter, the virtue of her father, and the everlasting skill of the Appleby Arrows Quidditch Team). Beyond that Hestia is easy to get along with. She's always a little flirty, but never overly so, and she's never crass about it. Special Abilities: Nothing in particular, she's fairly normal for the most part. Though she has always been rather good at picking up new spells more easily than most. Strengths: Hestia is good with people, and she never has trouble saying what she tihnks even when that might not be the most popular opinion around, she's not afraid to call anyone on their bullshit and she's able to keep a smile on her face through it all. Weaknesses: Often times Hestia's blunt mannerism is mistaken for cruelty or rudeness, but she has never seen it that way, she's just never seen the point of being vague when she's perfectly capable of coming out and letting you know you're stupid without the sort of veiled insults that so many people use. |

| Gender: Female Nationality: English Height: 5' 5½" Weight: 132 lbs Build: She's rather normally sized, a medium sort of build, she's not exactly someone who will just fall over, though she's certainly not a major physical presense either. Eyes: Brown Hair: Dark Brown Distinguishing Marks: Nothing especially of note. A few small scars here and there. Physical Description: Hestia no waif of a woman, she's average height and she's well built for her frame. She usually wears her hair down, and she's always wearing robes, in more conservative styles for when she's working and then she likes to experiment with color and differnt styles outside of the office. A smile is always at home on her face, though most expressions tend to look right on her - which is likely the cause of all the face making she used to do (and may occasionally still do behind the backs of those she's not so fond of). She can pull off sofisticated if needed, but Hestia prefers dressing down. | Hestia has had a fairly normal life and upbringing, her parents are both fairly normal as well - she comes from a long line of mediocrity, not that it has ever bothered Hestia, that sort of family inheritence has left her free to persue the sort of life that she's wanted for herself and not the sort of life that might have been expected of her if she came from a long line of people who had managed to do a great deal of amazing things. Hestia was mostly average in school, though she made friends easily, she didn't excell nor did she flounder in her classes, she got by just like the majority of the students around her. She didn't play Quidditch and she wasn't on any teams or a part of any clubs. It was really only once she was outside of Hogwarts that she began to find herself. She joined with the Ministry, thanks to a connection of her fathers, as a junior under secretary in the Home office. And Hestia found that it was here she was more than just ordinary. She was still kind of funny in her own way, quirky and never afraid to say what was on her mind, and it was these differences that ended up pushing her ahead of those others who had started around the same time she had. It was unexpected this new experience of excelling, and Hestia rather enjoyed it. She worked hard and continued to move upwards in the department as the years went by. Gaining notice from both her coworkers and those outside her area of work. This upwards mobility she experienced lead to notice by an Order member who approached her during the rise of the second Wizarding war, asking if she would help their cause. She rather enjoyed being a part of the Order, the connections she gained and the chance to help where she could. And it was also an opportunity to improve her own skills working with people who were Aurors and Hitwizards, which Hestia found very exciting. And she'd always been a bit of an idealist, so knowing that she was standing with those who were helping Harry Potter? That they were going to put an end to the fear that they had been hanging over their world for so long? She relished the opportunity to be a part of that. After the war, Hestia went back to work doing what she could in the Ministry to make sure things went back to normal the way they were supposed to. The rest of her life was fairly boring after that auspicious beginning, and Hestia found herself slowly rising through the ranks as she always expected herself too. She was killed in the second battle of Hogwarts. |
