PERSONALITYLyra is a completely unruly sort of person. She is also a bit of a tomboy, with a complete disregard for her appearance and personal hygeine. That doesn't mean she smells or anything, she just... doesn't particularly like to bathe. Especially when made to do so. She only wants to bathe when she deems it necessary. While she has received little education in her short life, she is highly intelligent. She is able to pick up on things easily, especially when interested in the subject. She is particularly interested in deceiving others. She is a skilled liar when she finds it necessary to do so. She is capable of making up both complex and plausible lies on the spur of the moment.
She does whatever she believes to be right. Even if she has to lie to do so. She only lies because she thinks it will benefit her and those around her. She doesn't do it to be mean or out of spite or malice. She makes most of her friends at Jordan College, making friends mainly with the male gender. Not because she has anything against girls or women or anything, she just feels more comfortable with boys.
She doesn't enjoy proper schooling, she finds it boring and tedious. She would much rather be learning about things that interest her, things that she can put to use in the real world. She is an adventurous sort of person, and she hates being left out of things. Especially when she believes she could be of some use to the people around her. Which is more often than not. SPECIAL ABILITIESShe is able to read the alethiometer without learning how to first, and she is able to lie convincingly. Especially on the spur of the moment and without a moment's consideration or preparation.
