Occupation: Owns a local book store Living situation: In an apartment above the bookstore. Family: Mother: Sandra Wolfe (Deceased werewolf attack) Father: Simon Wolfe (Deceased magic backfire) Brother: Nicolaus Wolfe (Turned werewolf, alive) Appearance: Slender and fair skinned Alexandra stands only 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has piercing blue eyes though in certain lights they appear to be green. She changes her hair color often to subtly change her appearance in order to not be too memorable. There is strength in her slender frame though she doesn’t look to be particularly muscular. She often looks to have dark circles under her eyes, a sign of her insomnia. She has faint scars on her lower back from a werewolf’s claws. PB: Lauren German Personality: The best way to describe Lexi is an enigma. One could meet her in the bookstore and she would be open, friendly and helpful. If that same person were to meet her in the street she may be distant and closed off. She doesn’t tend to have any close friends, and rarely lets anyone know too much about herself. She may tell someone one story about where she came from and someone else a completely different story. She doesn’t trust anyone she meets. It takes her a lot of time to warm up to a person enough to let them in. She is especially mistrustful of werecreatures, but not to the point of discriminating against them. She trusts in her magic, but she knows there are limitations to everything and as such she tends to keep a gun behind the counter of her store, one in her bed stand in her apartment, and a small one concealed in the bag she carries with her. She also carries a variety of potions with her in her bag. If you can get into her trust Lexi will be one of the most loyal friends you will ever meet. She will go out of her way to help those she calls friend. She would like to find someone that she felt she could trust enough to let into her heart. She fears that that will never happen though. History: There was never a doubt in her family’s mind that Alexandra would be a shadowmancer. The magic was strong in her family and both of her parents were shadowmancers as well. Being born on October 31st, strengthened that belief. Her brother Nicolaus, born 10 minutes before her was also expected to be strong in their family’s magic. They were born in their family home deep in the Black Forest of Germany. Training began as soon as they could walk. Her parents filled their days and nights with spells and new magic. When she was able to read they tasked them with new spells and potions to read and memorize. She began to display signs of power at 10, but it was 2 more years before the power fully blossomed in her. It took another year for her brother’s powers to shine. Their training was vigorous after that. Mixed in with the magic training was regular learnings as well. On top of their inborn magic they were also taught minor spells from the other branches of magic. They were home schooled in everything. When they were 18 they were gifted a raven each as their companion pets. Though their family stood apart from the community, that did not mean that they were lonely or cut off from the rest of the world. They were kept up to speed with all local and world current events. They would go to other countries for holiday, and to villages near their home for shopping and entertainment. Lexi was content in her world, but her brother was restless. He wanted to know more and be more. He fell in with a gang and began getting into trouble in the towns and villages they would torment. He did not know at the time that it was a gang of werewolves. One day he brought the leader of his gang back to the house. Lexi had just finished making detection charms and imagine her surprise when the werewolf one began to glow as the leader passed her. She hid the small gem in her pocket before anyone could see it. That night she told her brother what she had discovered. Concerned for her brother’s wellbeing she begged him to break off with the gang. He agreed with her and left the gang the next day. Unfortunately, the gang knew what her brother was. They had invited him into their gang, hoping to gain his trust before turning him. A werewolf with frozen magic was better than no magic at all to them. They did not take kindly to him leaving their gang. On the night of the next full moon they attacked. Lexi had been in the gardens teaching her raven to speak when suddenly her world exploded into pain. Hit from behind by a large wolf, she shrieked as it raked her back with its claws. Her mother and brother heard her screams and came rushing out of the manor house to help her. Her brother rushed the large wolf on top of her, knocking it aside. Her mother called shadows to cloak the garden and hide them from their attackers. When the wolves realized what she was doing they attacked her and tore her apart. Lexi had crawled bleeding away from the attack, crying as she pulled herself up a tree, out of danger. When her mother was brought down, the shadows dissipated, leaving a bright moon to light up the garden. Lexi watched as her mother died, unable to do anything but cling to the tree branch. She saw the large wolf beset upon her brother, biting him viciously, yet non-lethally. Once he was bitten the pack left howling in the night. When her father returned the next morning he was devastated at the carnage in the garden. He tended his children’s wounds and buried his wife. A quiet fury boiling inside of him. The month of waiting was torture for all of them, not knowing if Nicolaus would change or not. On the night of the next full moon the pack came for him. Stalking out of the trees they stood as silent sentinels around the house. As the moon rose so too did the wolf inside her brother. She once again watched in horror as her world changed. After his transformation the pack called to him, and he went to join them, never looking back. Her father thought only of revenge after that night and began to research new ways to have his vengeance on the creatures that stole his wife and child from him. He rarely slept and barely ate, even at his daughter’s insistence. Then one day a huge explosion rocked through the manor, as a wave of magic slammed into the building, shuddering the foundations. When Lexi picked her way through the rubble that remained of the rooms, she found her father’s body twisted nearly beyond recognition. She buried him with her mother. A week later she left her family home, the home that had been in the family for centuries. She never looked back, just as her brother hadn’t. She followed the pack that had stolen her brother for years. Always one step behind them. Finally she followed them across the ocean. She didn’t know if her brother still lived, but if he did she would find him. She settled in Burlington, and opened a bookstore with what remained of her family’s money. She named the bookstore The Raven, as a sign to her brother that she was here, if he was as well. Powers/abilities: Shadowmancer. She can control and create shadows and darkness. Skills: She speaks 5 languages English, French, German, Latin, and Russian. Has some fighting training. Species-related strengths/weaknesses: Normal human weaknesses. Weak in light magic. Possible Story lines: Her brother. The leader of the pack that took her brother. Other witches. Trying to be brought into a group.
Player Information Alias:Kristi Timezone: Pacific Other characters played in game : not applicable. Third Person Writing Sample : Lexi was tired, tired of constantly being on the move. She wanted a home again, and she wouldn’t have that if she kept following half dead leads. She needed a base of operations. And somewhere she could call her own. She figured a bookstore would be something small and not noteworthy. She didn’t think that anyone would uncover her here. The town was ripe with other creatures, they may keep attention away from her. At least that is what she had heard from some of the locals. This would be a good place to stay for a while. And maybe, just maybe Nicolaus would find her and come home. If he was even still any part her brother… and if they had a home to return to still.
