APPEARANCE.
The mix of her Cuban mother and French father has blessed Alison with her even golden skin tone, warm brown eyes and hair, and slightly exotic looks.
She stands at a fairly tall 5’7, with a slim frame, tempered by slight curves. Alison is very happy to have boobs that she thinks neither too small or too large for her frame, but does sometimes think she could do with slightly more curves in her natural build.
PERSONALITY.
LIKES: Making people smile, tea, helping people. DISLIKES: Messing up, rude people, violence.
STRENGTHS: Compassion, playing the game, very good memory. WEAKNESSES: Doesn't always know when to let go, danger of getting lost in tasks or research.
Alison is one of those people who, although they can survive by themselves and be independent, likes to be liked, and will accept certain help if offered and not too much. However, she is a confident person, and sometimes that confidence and willing to try anything can lead her into trouble she feels bad letting others dig her out of. She always tries to make time for her friends, and even tries to keep in touch with her family despite their disapproval and lack of effort going the opposite way.
The most important thing that makes her a good nurse is that she isn’t scared of looking silly, but she knows when to be serious too, and when to fight for what is best for her patients. The kids she cared for during her training loved her ability to listen, or take their mind off things when they needed it, and so did their families. It's no secret that pediatrics is where she plans to work once her time at New Haven is up.
HISTORY.
Born the only child to a French-born doctor and his Cuban wildchild of a wife.
Incredibly close to her mother as a young child, they were often going on 'adventures'. Despite her parents trying to teach her both their languages, she spoke her mother's Cuban Spanish far more than French, and quite often more than English too.
Mother left when she was 7, bored with Alison in school and naturally growing more independent and her husband working all hours.
Her father's mother moved in (with a lot of gloating about how she knew Lucia was a bad wife) to look after Alison. Mémère, as Aly called her, became the primary parental influence in her life, refusing to speak anything but French when it was just the two of them until she was fluent, and flying her out to Paris every Summer to immerse her in the culture.
She lost her Mémère to a heart attack one afternoon when she was 16. Alison was the one who found her, but it was too late by the time help arrived.
Aly decided she wanted to go into Medicine, and when the time came for college, she went off to her father's alma mater, New Haven, as a Dominari to study Human Biology in preparation for medical school.
Started a relationship with a fellow pre-med in their Junior year, and they both moved on to start medical school together and become engaged once their undergrad days were done.
HATED medical school, HATED a lot of her classmates and the gunner mentality they had, and HATED the thought of doing this any more.
Dropped out of medical school in the spring semester, and decided she wanted to go back and study nursing in the fall.
Despite her father refusing to support her in her decision, went back to New Haven for an accelerated nursing program. This time she had to do it as a servita.
Broke up with her fiancé a few months into being a servita because of the pressures of their different positions and her refusal to let him claim her to protect her.
Completed her course the Winter after turning 24 and went straight into the assessor program for the chance to open up her opportunities once she was done.
