+ Generous

Generous with his time and money, almost to a fault, Gray is very much a believer that as he cannot take stuff to the grave with him, there is no point in being stingy. He is the type to splash out on a round of drinks for his friends (who, let’s face it, are good drinkers).

+ Loyal

Loyal almost to a fault, if you are a close friend of his, you have a friend and protector for life. He will go out of his way to take the very best care of his friends and family however he can, without expecting fanfare for what he does.

+ Protective

As an extension of his loyalty, if you are lucky enough to make it and become "one of his people", Gray will go to great lengths to protect you. This means not just physically save you from an ass kicking, but he will do anything he can to make sure you are ok and happy, even if it’s at the expense of his own happiness.

+/- Reckless drive for redemption

Even though he knows that a lot of them all did what they needed to do to survive during the fall, Gray is deeply ashamed of the person he became for a spell. He knows he cannot wash away the sins he committed during the early days, but he hopes to try and be a better person. As such, he goes almost recklessly out of his way to be the best person he can, often volunteering for some of the most treacherous duties that Obsidian has to offer.

- Emotionally Immature

Having always been treated like a child and having a lot of his life handed to him on a plate, Gray never really...matured in a lot of ways. He tends to lash out rashly when he is angry and can sometimes do things without thoughts for consequences.

- Hedonistic

As an extension of his emotional immaturity, he has a habit of not really dealing with negative feelings in the best way. As a result, when times get hard, Gray tends to start drinking and fucking his way through everything that he can.

- Inferiority Complex

Having spent years in the shadows of his father and his brother, Gray often finds himself plagued with fears. Fears that he is not a great pack leader, that he'll never be the Alpha his brother would have been and that he could be responsible for the generation where the pack becomes undone.

BACKSTORY

Growing Up in the Shadows: To say that Gray was a surprise baby for his Mother and Father, would certainly be accurate. With nearly ten years between himself and Rick, Rick used to like to joke that Gray came about because his mother accidentally dented his father’s pride and joy, a Red 1970’s Chevy Nova. Whatever the reason for Gray’s appearance in the world, from the moment that he was born, he was spoilt beyond belief by his mother, while Rick was very much always a Daddy’s boy.

Carving his own path: Living his life quietly in the shadows while his better-looking brother exceeded in pretty much…well everything, Gray learnt to carve out his own existence. As a child, this meant hours playing in the forest behind his house with his friends and getting into trouble for raising hell in the town, and skipping school. Then as a adult, this slowly morphed into busying himself under the hood of a car at the garage, drinking with the biker gang his parents were part of, at the bar, and if he found a willing body, a good fuck after a long day with the occasional bit of surfing thrown in for good measure. Unfortunately for Gray though, this life was not destined to last for him.

Grim Reaper Cometh: When his brother stepped up to take over the family businesses at his fathers retirement, he knew that there would be an expectation placed on him to step up and help out with the running of things, what he did not expect was the fact that a short 4 months into his brothers leadership, he would be knocked off his bike by a haulage wagon down while riding down the interstate late at night. Never recovering from the loss of his precious eldest son, Richard Senior passed a short 9 days later of a heart attack, leaving Gray well and truly with the keys to the kingdom.

The Aftermath: Unable to cope with losing both his father and his brother in such a short period of time, Gray quickly lost himself in a drink fuelled haze. Fucking and drinking at a rate that was heavy by his own standards, if it wasn't for an intervention by a small number of close friends, it wass likely he would have drunk himself to death.

New Role Models: Feeling a large void in his life after he lost his brother and his father in such a short period of time, Gray found himself turning more and more to the biker gang. He began to get into trouble, helping out the gang in their less then...legal escapades.

The Beginning of the End: Having turned to them during his time of need, when the apocalypse began, Gray well and truly dedicated himself to the gang. This often meant him doing things he knew not to be right or moral, desperately trying to win the approval of these men.

Cam Event: Check with Dash

Arrival in Obsidian: It was those events that eventually brought Gray to the town of Obsidian. Feeling a desperate need to try and redeem himself, Gray regularly volunteers for the most perilous of jobs, regularly going out scouting in places that others would not dare.
