8) Background: Annick was born in Scandinavia, back in the 1200s. As was the custom of the time, she was married off early, around the age of fifteen, but it was to a boy in the village that she liked, so there was no quarrel from her on the subject. She grew up to be a midwife while her husband was the village's baker, and they had two children, a boy and a girl. If things had stayed on this road, Annick would have lived a happy yet uneventful life, surrounded by family but lost to history.

This was not the case, though. She was woken up late one night by noises outside of her home. She found that her husband was not in the bed beside her, and, when she went to investigate, she had found that someone had come up to the home and asked to be let in, and, when her husband aquiescted, he had been immediately attacked by some creature. She found this creature feeding on her husband on the floor. When it heard her gasp in horror, it immediately unleashed its fury upon her, knocking her to the floor.

It had knocked her unconcious, but, when she woke up, she was outside of her home. She awoke with a terrible hunger, but didn't know why. When she looked to her home, she saw that it was in flames. To this day, she is not sure what happened to the rest of her family (she tried to brave the fire, but it was too hot and large), but she can only assume that her children also perished in the flames or by the monster's hand.

It took her a while to figure out her condition, and she was terrified by what she had become. Why did the monster single her out? Was there a purpose, or had it merely been an accident? No matter how much she searched, she could never find her sire, so there would be no answer to her question.

Despite her horror at what she had become, she grew lonely as the years grew long, and finally gave in to the need to sire. She sired a few times over the years, although the only one to survive to modern times was the red head now known as Lia. Annick stayed in Europe for as long as she could, but she finally felt the pull of the New World. It was now time to see what the Americas had to offer, and she picked the place that she knew where her childe was: Los Angeles.
9) Personality: For someone that is a vampire and has been one for many years, she is quite the gentle soul. She has always preferred to have someone give her blood rather than take it by force, and, now, in this day and age, it has made her life all the easier. She's a sweet and nurturing person, and still enjoys taking care of people after all this time.
10) Powers: The usual powers of a vampire.
11) Skills: Sewing, knitting, delivering babies, although she hasn't done the last in many a year. She can also speak a myriad of languages, mostly European, although she knows of some Hebrew as well, due to spending time in Jewish Ghettos.
