We really do integrate quite a significant amount of muggle technology into our lives.

Not really that much.

Maybe not muggle technologies, but an abhorrent amount of their culturalisms.

Really? I don't think abhorrent is a necessary adjective there, Miss.

The fact of the matter is that the more of their culture we adopt, the more of our own we lose.

Exactly.

Societies grow, they change, they adapt to the times. It's not about losing wizarding culture, it's about improving it.

Wizarding culture is being saturated until it mirrors muggle culture.

I don't believe that is possible. The wizarding world is so unique, there's no way the muggle world could compare.

Diagon Alley has phones. Soon enough they'll just take our wands, what good will they do us with all this muggle stuff around.

They're being tested, largely because they're easier and faster than Floo Calls.

Considering that the wands channel our magic, I sincerely doubt that our wands will be taken away. If you're just going to spout purist bullshit without actually giving any of it any thought, I believe this discussion is over.

It is getting to the point we are erasing the essence of what it means to have a magical community.

Give me an example, and maybe I'll take this seriously.

We are still a secret, separate society. No one is talking about exposing ourselves. If that's not the essence of the magical community, then I don't know what is.

Well the use of refrigerators; What is the point of even casting of preserving charm if we're simply going to use such a device? Telephone television I even saw somebody walking around with the type of device they call the tablet. We visit Muggle establishments ... even one of our more famous quidditch players makes it very common knowledge that he prefers muggle establishments over a magical despite being brought up as a wizard.

Because there's an opportunity now. Integrating certain aspects of muggle culture isn't a bad thing.

Integration shouldn't mean erasure.

In the sense that wizards have been adopting muggle technology for quite a handful of decades now. Had you just noticed?

Given that I have been living out of the country and so far only the UK (I'm not sure about America) has rapidly adopted middle technology to the point it nearly mirrors parts of Muggle London and that I don't spend much time with those who utilize muggle technology... Yes.

As I have just recently returned from Europe as well. What would you do instead, anyway? Have our culture stagnate an die out as the world progresses around us and we hold firm to only our own traditions?

I simply have observed the convenience of muggle life seems to be a bit more prevalent. It makes me wonder how much we'll give up for instant gratification.

We do! I think we're lucky in that we can live where we have the opportunity to blend wizarding and muggle traditions. We have the upper hand in knowing about the other and I think it's wonderful that we have so many options regarding the way we love our lives.
