So let's do something. Time's of the essence, yeah? We need to start compiling information about Vic, maybe something could help the Blackcloaks that they've overlooked. You know her best and you saw her last. Write down every detail you remember, clothing, jewelry, what kind of mood she was in, when she left for the club...

Then we'll start writing about the who, the where, the why.

Caden's going to help Oliver with the pub, so that's pretty much all the things I give a shite about. He's good about not eating other things- Ness helped with that. Good. Caden seems like a reliable sort. Mum might even grow to like him, then. I always wanted a dog, you know. Do either of them sleep with you? I'll let them sleep in my bed, if they do and they want to.

He didn't ask me to, but the only other person bidding was his boss's wife so... thought I'd spare him, yeah? Plus, he's been so busy.

That's a bit strange. How far apart were they? It obviously had to be someone with knowledge of magic, in the case that Evan had security wards. Or it could've someone who'd been observing Vic and her nightly behaviour.

I'd feed them only the best scraps. Of course they'd be loyal. You're making me really jealous of your cute arse pets, you know.
