I understand that feeling -- it's similar to how I feel about Berlin (and used to feel about Budapest). Not bizarre at all. Severus and Harry don't quite belong to Tokyo themselves, if that makes it easier? schemingreader is is also writing a kind of love song to carolinelamb, whose passion for Tokyo and Japanese culture formed, if I understood certain comments correctly, the inspiration for the story. There is something about the exile issue that is at the heart of the story, is what I'm trying to say. Which doesn't mean that it will be any easier for you to read, only that I think it is a story that understands that feeling very deeply.

Anyway, I am rambling as usual. I don't know where you get your patience with me . . .
