PERSONALITY
POSITIVEBrave. This shouldn't be a surprise, since it comes with the House and the family. Like most Gryffindors, his bravery tends to become recklessness on occasion, but never when it comes to his dragons. Charlie will always be the first one to volunteer for dangerous assignments, but he knows what he's doing. His only lack of bravery comes to his mother, and he's often avoided speaking to her about his life to avoid an argument.NEGATIVEFriendly. Charlie is really and truly friendly. There's no pretending with him. He will always give you the benefit of the day. He doesn't hold grudges. He's even willing to give people who fought for the wrong side the benefit of the date. Of course, his friendliness ends once you show that you are a bad person.
Reliable. Charlie will always do what he says, no ifs, ands or buts. He's the one that people go to when they need a favor and he will never back down from helping when he can. On the few occasions that he can't help, he will tell you straight out. This trait has made him one of the best dragon keepers at the reserve.
Intelligent. People often underestimate Charlie's intelligence. He doesn't mind, since it's pretty natural when your brothers are Bill and Percy Weasley. The fact that he loves the outdoors also makes people assume that he's not that bright. The truth is that he's very bright, but only pays attention to the things he cares about. Ask him about dragons and you can see just how smart he is.
Stubborn. He's a Wasley, so that should go without saying. It's not often that he will show this trait, because on most subjects he won't care, but if it's something he cares about, then he will stand his ground. Quidditch, family, dragons, blood status, those are all things that will make him take a stand. He will try to avoid an argument, though, so even though he feels he's right, he might just walk away.Clumsy. It used to be the joke of the reserve that he couldn't walk without knocking into something. He's broken plenty of stuff in stores. He's fallen from stairs and ladders. It's really amazing that he can be so careful with his job, because if he weren't, he'd have died years ago.
Hot Headed. Once again, he's a Weasley and the temper comes with the red head. Unlike some of his brothers, it's rare that you see an outburst, but when it does, it's full scale, with yelling, hexing, cursing. However, he's also just as quick to forgive and forget. Most of his friends have learned to ignore those outbursts and move on.
Tactless. Etiquette and rules were never really important at the Burrow. After that, he lived on a reserve with people who didn't have any time for word games. Charlie will often blurt out what he thinks. He's never mean about it, but he'll always tell the truth, even when a white lie would be better.

DREAMS. His unrealistic dream is that he'd suddenly be cured and he could go back to work on the reserve. His real dream is that with time, he can learn to use his left hand to cast spells well enough to go back to the reserve.
FEARS. His worst fear has already happened, which is his inability to work with dragons. He's still trying to cope with this and right now, a boring life is still very scary. His mother keeps saying that he'll learn to accept it, but it still hasn't
HISTORY
PRE-WARFred and George. In a family like theirs, the birth of two children shouldn't be a major event, but it was. Before the twins, they were a normal family with two parents and three children. Bill was the smart one and Percy was the quiet one. With the twins, everything changed. All of a sudden, their house became loud and chaotic. By the time Ginny arrived, Bill and Charlie became part times babysitters. This created a strange dynamic in the family. Charlie will not admit it, but while he loves all of his siblings dearly, he will never be close to the younger ones the same way he was with Bill and Percy.POST-WARBecoming a Dragon Keeper. This wasn't a surprise to anyone, but his mother. Since he was a child, Charlie had pretended to play with dragons, often using their pets as pretend dragons. When he picked up Care of Magical Creature, he couldn't talk about anything but dragons. Bill had even given him a brochure with all the best reserves in the summer before his seventh year. Only his mother acted like he'd sprung some surprising news on them when he announced that he'd been hired as a dragon keeper.
Joining The Order. When Dumbledore asked him to join the Order, Charlie didn't hesitate. There was only an answer for him. That doesn't mean that he took it lightly. Charlie put as much energy into following Dumbledore's order as he did in his job, but he feels like he still failed, because it was very hard to get foreign wizards to care. After Dumbledore's death, he still tried to continue his mission.
The Battle and Fred's Death. He missed his brother's death and Charlie will never forgive himself. It doesn't matter that he was working to get as many wizards and witches together. It doesn't matter that he and Slughorn were able to bring in enough people to make it a fair fight. It doesn't matter that in the end, they won. Charlie will always remember the fact that he wasn't there for his brother. Even now, the second of May is not a happy day, often marked by too much drinking and terrible hangover and guilt.
The Relationship. Right after the battle, Charlie got close to a wizard in Romania. He really thought that Adrian was the one, and had even considered coming out to his family. Not that his siblings don't know, but he's never told his parents. He was finally ready to take that step, when Adrian decided that he would accept a job at the Chinese Dragon Sanctuary. While Charlie understands and respects the decision, he can't help but think that Adrian was the one that got awayThe Accident. In September, 2005, tragedy struck. A new dragon keeper made a mistake while flying, opening the aerial net that kept the dragons in a herd. Charlie flew alone after the dragon to avoid that he'd flew away and over Muggle cities. The rescue was anything but smooth. He managed to stop the dragon long enough for help to arrive, but he suffered severe burns that caused him to fall from his broom. He ended up with broken bones, burns and a long recovery
Coming Home. The reserve wasn't able to take care of him, so Charlie was Portkeyed to St. Mungo's first where he spent weeks. After that, he went to the Burrow. It was supposed to be temporary, but as the day passed, it became obvious that his right hand would never be the same and could not grip his wand, leaving him unable to cast any spells. The temporary arrangements became a long term situation, as much as it was the bottle of firewhiskey and the depression that settled in.
On Fire. In the end, it was his mother that made him snap out of his depression. At first she smothered him, then she worried for him and finally she told him to get up and go do something. The problem was that he didn't know what to do. Nothing seemed to spark an interest until one day, Percy told him about a strange shop he had seen in Muggle London. It was a shop that sold everything to do with cats and people there seemed as obsessed with cats as Charlie was with dragons. That started his interest in a shop. With some financial help from his family, on the first of February, 2007, Charlie opened On Fire. He also moved above the shop where he still lives while he keeps learning how to use his left hand to cast spells. It's not always perfect, but he's learning.
