MANNER OF DRESS: Typically due to her job, she is generally found in either her Quidditch Robes or some sort of Athletic wear. On the rare occasions where she is wearing neither, she can generally be found in jeans and t-shirt.
OTHER: She has a bad scar that makes part of her hand look like its melted. This is from where the cursed necklace touched her when she was at school. Generally though the scar is covered by her Quidditch gloves or a glamour charm of some description, as she is incredibly self-conscious about people seeing it.

POSITIVE

DETIRMINED: While Katie could never have been accused of being a slacker by any stretch of the imagination, if possible, she was made more determined by her incident with the necklace. At some point around month two of being in St Mungo’s, Katie knew that if she didn’t drag herself out of bed there and then, that she would probably die from the curse. So, despite a lot of warnings, and much advice to the contrary, she began physical therapy to start working her way back to her normal self. When the point came though that Katie was ‘caught up’ and back to her normal self, she had become so use to pushing herself to the extreme that she could stop if she wanted to. Despite the necklace being the root of a lot of problems in her life, she also credits it for a lot of the good things that have happened as a result.

KIND/CARING: While Katie might have become a little more closed off to people in recent years, she has and always will be a kind and caring soul. For the rare few that manage to break through her walls, she would pretty much do anything to make their lives better and transforms into a beyond patient nurse should any of her friends fall sick. That’s not to say she isn’t kind to everyone she meets, as she is incredibly generous in giving her time and her money to a range of Wizarding Charities for a variety of causes.

OPTIMISTIC: If there is one thing that Katie could never be accused of being, it is negative. No matter how bad the situation, no matter how dire things that, she has an unwavering belief that if you persevere and keep marching forward that things will get better. It is her optimism that helped keeping her going when she was in Hospital, and during some of the darker days at school in the years running up to the battle. While she has lost her way once or twice (especially after the battle of Hogwarts), she has always picked herself up and began moving forward again.

BRAVERY: Unlike a lot of Gryffindors, Katie’s bravery isn’t always obvious. Like for instance, when offered the opportunity to not go back to school and finish her education with a private tutor after her run in with the necklace, she decided to go back to school and face the questions. During the final battle, she wasn’t always on the front line fighting 100% of the time, however she was dragging the hurt and injured out of further harms way. She also volunteered to do sweeps of the school on her own, making sure that nobody had been separated and everyone was accounted for where possible.

NEGATIVE

CLAUSTROPHOBIC: Because of her 6-month stint in St Mungo's after an incident with an opal necklace when she was at school, Katie does not do well being stuck indoors for large periods of time. That’s part of the reason she ended up by pursuing a career in Quidditch, as the thought of being stuck indoors for long periods of time made her feel physically sick. Generally, if she gets to stressed or feels like things are getting to far on top of her, she will go on long walks through the countryside with her German Shepherd Madison until she feels calmer.

SELF CONSCIOUS: Katie was never one of the most confident people in the world, but since her hand was horribly scarred by the Opal Necklace she has only gotten worse. While she tries to play if off casually, she is very conscious of it and generally tries to keep her hand covered in gloves or glamour charms at all times. Typically, the only time that people see her hand is when either a) she has been surprised or b) she really trusts the other person.

ANXIOUS: Again, this is another dominant negative personality trait that really took hold of Katie after the incident with the necklace. Between the fear of being put under the Imperius curse again, losing her spot on the Quidditch Team, being very sick again and trying to read the intentions of others with her new-found fame, it isn't uncommon for Katie to get very fraught with nerves and anxiety. On a lesser scale she tends to just ramble and pace a lot, however when things get bad it tends to manifest in full blown panic attacks.

VULNERABLE: Between her new found fame, and her recent history with the necklace, Katie has become very closed off from meeting new people in recent times. It could be argued that this trait is the culmination of the above traits, which has all in all led to her becoming a far less balanced person who struggles to cope when situations get to stressful.

HOGWARTS & QUIDDITCH:
Kate still remembers her first trip to Hogwarts on the train vividly, panicking about what would happen when she got to the castle. Her older brother had spent the entire summer before her first year winding her up so badly about there being right and wrong houses to be sorted into, that she was sick in the bushes before boarding the boats. As it turned out, there was nothing to worry about and she ended up in Gryffindor like the rest of her family.

Her being sorted into Gryffindor was only topped in her second year, when much to her family’s delight, she made the team as a Chaser. Despite at the time being the youngest there, the team had all been so welcoming and never made her feel like her age was an issue in the slightest. In fact, two red headed brothers by the name of Fred and George semi-adopted her and helped her with her training to bring her up to scratch as quickly as possible.

CURSED NECKLACE: The events of this fateful day are ones that will forever stick with Katie, and have resulted in shaping her a lot as being the person she is today. While she does not remember much of the first month she was in St Mungo’s, predominantly as she spent most of the time in a magically induced coma, it was evident when she woke up that the damage was vast. Apart from the obvious physical damage done to her hand by the cursed necklace, she was constantly still in pain (while not quite at the original levels).

It took many months, and numerous hours in physical therapy learning how to walk again before Katie finally got back to anything near her pre-curse fitness. Being the complete sweetheart that she is, Katie soon found herself being taken under the wing of some of the staff of the Hospital who helped her with her studies, so she would not fall behind to badly while she was there. To this day, as a sign of her gratitude to those mediwitches and wizards who looked after her when she was there, she likes to go in and take presents of food for those working and presents for the children on the wards at Christmas.

BATTLE OF HOGWARTS: Katie had been working in a café just off Diagon Alley for a few months, when she felt the familiar sensation of her DA coin activating in her pocket. Even though she was no longer a student at this point, she left her job midshift. She knew that if the coin had been activated, then this was it, something very very bad was going down and she needed to be there alongside her school friends. Quickly making her way home, she changed into her old school uniform before apparating back to Hogsmeade and sneaking back into Hogwarts. She is proud to say that when everything happened, she stood shoulder to shoulder with her friends, and played her part in defending the world.

The only problem for Katie was when the dust settled and she body of her good friend Fred was found. To say that this broke her was an understatement. Fred had always been so nice to her, and had helped her so much when she first joined the team. Truth be told, she had always harboured a crush on him, so when his body was dragged from the ashes she was found sobbing in a corner. Like a lot of her friends, the end of the war signaled the start of a new and very different battle for Katie.

SIGNED TO PUDDLEMERE UNITED: When Katie was first invited to the try outs for Puddlemere, the most that she had been hoping for was maybe getting a call back for the Reserves team. So when Katie got the owl offering her a full contract to the first team, she at first thought it was one of her friends playing a joke on her. It took a few more owls, and finally a visit by the Team Coach to convince her that that it was no joke. When the reality of the situation occurred to her, she signed on the dotted line without another thought and has not looked back since.
