Milagros Santino was a mere 19 years old and working as a waitress in a seedy hotel restaurant when she met Cristiano Vasquez or Cristo as he was known around their town. While he was immediately taken with the young woman, Milagros couldn't be less interested. Growing up in San Juan, men like him were always promising girls like her the world and leaving them with nothing. It happened to her mother and she'd be damned if she allowed it to happen to her. But Cristo was not deterred. Everything from jewelry to clothes he bestowed upon her, but to no avail, Millie wasn't having it. You see, as the prettiest girl in the neighborhood, Millie could pick and choose whom she wanted to date and as far as she was concerned that man was not Cristo. But those walls came crashing down when he was the one to take care of her when her mother passed leaving her with nothing but heartache and debt. Anything and everything she needed he provided her with, no questions asked. Soon enough, she found herself loving the man whom she vowed to never love. And because she allowed him to take care of her as she had, she'd become the one thing she swore she wouldn't. Her mother. The more time she spent with Cristo, the more she found herself falling for him, but it seemed time had the opposite effect on Cristo because as with most men who didn't want to be kept, he strayed and Millie had become replaceable. It hadn't even been three weeks after moving back into the home she once shared with her mother, that Millie figured out that she was pregnant. Instead of going to Cristo, who would have no doubtedly taken care of his child, she moved to Miami to start anew.

Desirae Cristiana Vasquez was born on July 4th 1986. Growing up on the south side of Miami, there were a lot of influences which could cause a girl like Desirae trouble, which was why early Millie vowed to keep her away from all of that. Unlike most of the parents living in the PJ's, Millie played a pivotal role in the development of her daughter. She figured that a good education and a strict Catholic upbringing would keep Desi in line. And in many ways it did, but it also did a lot of harm. By the time she was thirteen, Desirae had grown to resent her mother's over protective ways, but each time she went to speak out against her, Millie would lecture her about only wanting to keep her safe. Though, she never asked, she knew the sadness in her mother's eyes was because of her father and it was because of that sadness that she never challenged her. Instead, she would sit in her small room and dream of the days where she'd be free from her mother once and for all.

Eighteen could not have come soon enough for Desi, who was eager to take on a life of the independent college student she dreamed about her entire life. Having always gotten good grades in school, Desi got into every school she applied to, but opted to attend Penn State to pursue her medical career. Initially she was planning on attending University of Miami because she didn't have the heart to leave her ailing mother behind, but it was her mother who forced her to see the world and do the things she never got to do. Although money was short, Desi found ways to pay for the things that her scholarship didn't cover. One of those things was escorting. She and her roommate were from similar backgrounds, but Desi noticed that everytime they did anything together she insisted on paying. Finally one night she got up the nerve to ask where the money came from and the answer was one that changed her life forever. Her first time out was just as nerve wrecking and the only thing that seemed to calm her nerves was the cold hard cash in her hand after it was over. The feeling that she was able to help her mother pay the bills back home was just as addicting as any drug in the world.

At 24, she's still working towards gaining her degree, but her life is slowly but surely spiraling out of control as she's trying to maintain her double life. Who knew keeping such dark secrets could be so draining?

♪ In the three years that she's been in the business, she only had one bad encounter with a client. Turns out his kink was beating women and then raping them; Desirae was in the hospital for six days recovering from her injuries, but told her friends that she was mugged.

♪ Contrary to popular belief, she does not sleep with all of her clients. Most of them pay her to accompany them to events that their significant other would usually attend if they had one.

♪ In order to keep her life under-wraps and explain for the amount of money in her bank account, Desirae maintains a full time job as a human relations receptionist at a very large advertising firm.

♪ Considers herself to be a very driven person and will stop at no costs to receive the things she feels she deserves.

♪ Attitude-wise, she can be very bossy, blunt, quick tempered--just an overall passionate person. She is loyal to anyone she calls her friend, but if you betray her trust chances are you'll never get it back.

♪ Although she knows who her father is, she has not found the courage to actually look him up and tell him that she exists.

♪ She enjoys all sports, but her favorite are college football and professional basketball.

♪ A self-proclaimed reality-television junkie.

♪ Speaks fluent spanish.
