Ginny is the youngest of the seven Weasley children as well as the only girl. She always loved being surrounded by her family, though at times she did find that they were a slight bit over protective. Ginny's parents always been very supportive of her, however they have also been very protective. Her mother is a very homey person, who puts a great deal of effort into making sure the house and everyone in it is happy, despite the financial situation. Her father who worked a lot during Ginny's childhood was still there every time she really needed him and was always a great comfort when her mum would lose her temper.
In addition to her loving family, Ginny has been cursed blessed with six elder brothers. Bill, the oldest was always Ginny's favorite. He was the biggest and the one she looked up to the most. Charlie however commanded much of her love as well. However, being that the age gap between the older children and the younger children was so wide, Ginny was rarely included in their activities and spent much of her time with Ron. Percy, Fred and George cared about their sister, however, they felt as though she was too young to bother with most of the time and seeing as they could exclude both younger siblings, they did. Ginny had lots of fun with Ron as a child. They did just about everything together because they were so close in age and eventually the only two children left at the house. Ron was always the one who looked after her while the other boys went to school and she always counted on him to be there for her. Ginny became very attached to Ron and when it was time for him to go to Hogwarts; she found it very hard to accept the fact that she would be stuck alone. As she grew older however and started attending Hogwarts as well, she found her brothers' interest in her life was not as comforting as it once was. She began feeling very smothered by them and felt as if she was being treated like a child. She did however become much closer to the twins and as such, learned a lot from them. However, this was not exactly comforting to the rest of the school or to Molly for that matter.
From the moment that she set eyes on Harry Potter, Ginny has had a bit of a crush on him. (Okay so that's an understatement, but Ginny won't let me tell you that she was obsessed with him and was a borderline stalker) She found him to be fascinating and wonderful and wanted nothing more than for him to notice her. However, when he came to visit the summer before her first year at Hogwarts, she freaked out and became a wreck around him. Things only worsened for poor Ginny during that year. She found diary and began writing her thoughts into it. When the diary began writing back, Ginny sort of freaked out, but was happy to have a friend in Tom Riddle. What she didn't know that Tom Riddle was the very same person that Harry had been trying to defeat since the age of one, Lord Voldermort. The diary eventually possessed her and she was rescued by none other than her boy hero, Harry. Ginny was since making real friends in her House and Year at Hogwarts. She joined and named the D.A. in her fourth year and was among those at the battle in the Department of Mysteries. She also fought at the first battle at Hogwarts along side many Order members.
During her fourth year, Hermione, Harry and Ron's best mate, suggested that Ginny try to play the field and date around rather than focusing on Harry. Ginny took this advice and became much more relaxed around the boy hero. She even tried dating a few other boys (much to her brothers’ dismay), such as Michael Corner and Dean Thomas. This plan seemed to work wonders because by the end of her fifth year she and Harry dated for a short time. However, they split up because of the war and Harry's need to protect people.
She spent her summer trying to find out as much as she could about what her brother and two best friends were up to, but Molly Weasley had pretty much made it impossible for her to find out anything. Which of course only proved to make Ginny worry ten times more than she would have if she just knew they were alive. She managed to get herself physically sick a few times with worry and took to having nightmares, keeping her from sleeping all too much.
She knew that she would have to return to school. It was the safest place for her to be and she was not about to deny that. She did not, however, fancy the idea of being so far from her family. Her mother wouldn’t hear any complaints about it though. She was going to return to Hogwarts no matter what.
[Disclaimer: I am not Ginny Weasley. For starters I'm not a redhead (naturally anyway) and I don't have six older brothers. Oh right, and the lacking magical powers thing too. I am not Lauren Ambrose. Again...red hair. And I'm not a TV/Movie star...yet. I do not own Harry Potter or anything else in his universe. That would be a lovely Brittish woman named J.K. Rowling. She's pretty cool if you ask me. This is for a roleplay game in_omniaparatus Come check it out! Because we're all pretty cool and you know you want to.
