THE CHARACTER
Name:Andrel | Ysmir, Dragon of the North Fandom: The Elder Scrolls (TES V: Skyrim) Point in canon: - Has defeated Alduin - Is Guildmaster of the Thieves' Guild - Is Harbinger of the Companions - Destroyed the Dark Brotherhood - Completed College of Winterhold storyline, but did not become Arch-Mage! - Honorary Member of House Telvanni (as granted by Master Neloth) Sexuality: Heterosexual Species:Wandering Ehlnofey | Dovahkiin ; Dragonborn | Lycanthrope (cured) Age: Early 30s. Born 17th Day of First Seed, 4E 168. (March 17) History: Andrel was born a commoner in the hamlet of Bruma, Cyrodiil; just south of the Jerall Mountain range. He was in his early 30s when he crossed the southern border into Skyrim and swept up in the political conflicts of the Civil War of Skyrim.
Unbeknownst to Andrel, his actions up to then were carefully guided by the Nine Divines to put him in the right place at just the right time. He is the long-prophesied hero from Alduin's Wall, the "Last Dragonborn". What does it mean to be Dragonborn, in his world? It means that you are of mortal body, but of dragon blood and soul. His status as the Dovahkiin lends him power that is otherwise inaccessible to your typical mortal warrior. There are some that can use the Voice as the dragons and Dovahkiin can, but it comes with great difficulty and many years of continuous practice. Ysmir, on the other hand, learns and masters new Rotmulaag (Words of Power) with ease only the Dov can understand.
Personality: Ysmir operates on a balanced sense of grey morality. He is no angel, but he is also no villain. A lot of what he does is what he feels is necessary to get to his end goal, whatever that happens to be at the moment. His sossedov (dragonblood) naturally sways him toward a desire for power, but his humanity keeps him grounded. Though he does enjoy being "the one in charge" in some aspects, he still recognizes his own prowess, knows he's not perfect for everything, and gladly defers responsibility to those more qualified than himself. Hence, why he rejected the opportunity to become the Arch-Mage at the College of Winterhold. He is decent at spellcasting but still considers himself no mage and finds it ridiculous to take power from someone more fitted to the role. Generally, he tries to maintain some sense of friendliness and approachability and is indeed protective of those he cares about, most. He is not above taking quick revenge against those who have gravely wronged him. Otherwise, he's really quite a reasonable man.
