Capital: Falkreath
Jarl: Nenya
Steward: Siddgeir
Alliance: The Imperial Legion
Typical Weather: To the western area, Falkreath tends to be in a state of perpetual spring. The skies are normally clear though it tends to rain often. To the east, the climate slowly becomes colder and snow accumulates significantly, sticking to the ground. The areas surrounding Bleak Falls Barrow and the Pale Pass leading to the Jerall Mountains of Cyrodiil are the coldest and snowiest. Once you start going further east into the Rift, the snowy climate dies down and returns to clearer skies.
Crime Rate: In the actual hold city, crime is on the down-low. There are guards patrolling everywhere that keep the peace. Falkreath itself is rather sleepy, but in the wilderness you can expect to stumble upon some secluded bandit camps. Additionally, the Dark Brotherhood's main sanctuary is housed to the west of the city, though its exact location is obscured, not to mention underground.
Economy: Given its location and local resources, Falkreath's main source of income comes from the local lumber mill. There's also a small farm in the city, but the city is largely reliant on the lumber mill.
Falkreath was once a part of Cyrodiil, but times have since changed and it now calls Skyrim its home. Before the peace council, the Jarl was Siddgeir. However, Siddgeir was rather young and lazy as a governor of the city. His steward, an Altmer woman named Nenya, took care of most of the work related to being Jarl. Because of this, Nenya was named the new Jarl of Falkreath and Siddgeir was instead made the Steward, handling the issuing of bounties for local troublemakers. She's one of the less-haughty Altmer in Skyrim and treats the people fairly, so the Dragonborn saw no reason to not declare her the new Jarl in Siddgeir's stead. His uncle Dengeir of Stuhn was the preceding Jarl and became Thane once his nephew took the throne. Dengeir retained his status as a Thane once Nenya became Jarl, though she may elect to choose another in the future to serve her alongside Dengeir.
One of the primary attractions of Falkreath is the large graveyard that occupies the city. It's said to be the largest cemetery in Skyrim, and several Nords are buried here. You may notice a lot of the businesses around Falkreath have rather morbid-sounding names because of the graveyard. There are basic services offered here, including an apothecary, general goods store, and blacksmith.
