Selina knew it was perhaps pushing things a little too far, but as his hand moved up against the small of her back her own squeezed his shoulder slightly and her body pressed against his torso. She enjoyed it when he looked at her like that, and it was good to know that the months apart hadn't lessened his attraction to her. Selina had always been shrewd when it came to matters of the heart - although she had been scared to think that she may return from her travels to find him shacked up with some blonde nymphet. Jealousy wasn't one of her most attractive features, she preferred to keep it under wraps - but when it came to Bruce she struggled more than usual.
"I heard on the grapevine you'd taken up spelunking," she replied with a small flicker of a laugh in her tone, "Though I thought better of it."
Selina wondered about those other things, like she often did. He felt like a jigsaw puzzle she was still putting together sometimes. Probably missing a few pieces too. Exasperating was the perfect word to describe Bruce Wayne - though he probably saw her in the same way. Selina allowed herself a few moments of quiet, enjoying the music, the feel of the room. Enjoying the feel of his touch really. Hundreds of memories raced through her mind, that sinking feeling when she'd realised the complication of being in love with two men at once. Was it love though? Well - whatever it was, it hurt like a bitch. She felt her stomach flip, that sickly twist inside of her. Perhaps this party hadn't been such a good idea, but it was pointless to dwell on that now. She was here, and for a moment things seemed clear.
"I missed his." The three simple words felt like they held more meaning than they should, the music swelled a little and Selina found herself looking down for a moment before gazing over his shoulder, trying to cover any emotion that flickered across her features.
