player. Name: Sigi Timezone: CST Contact (AIM, E-mail, Contact Post or all 3): midnightheart@att.net In Character Contact Out of Character Contact Journal to be used: gallimaufry_ EXAMPLES: First person: Does anyone else ever wonder what's the point of getting old if you lose being a child? I have asked before, earlier in time and space, why grow up if you can't be a child and why don't others just admit they like being a child sometimes? Does anyone else think someone who denies they're childish are the most immature of all? Why am I bothering with this any way? 11th Doctor RP: http://raggedy-or-not.insanejournal.c 10th Doctor Narrative: http://living-in-light.insanejournal.co character. NAME: Doctor 12 NICKNAMES/ALIAS: John Smith, 'Thete' (Theta Sigma), Ka Faraq Gatri (Oncoming Storm) AGE: 2000 FANDOM: Doctor Who CANON POINT: After 'Deep Breath' Season 8 ep 1 PB: Peter Capaldi OCCUPATION: Explorer of time and space PERSONALITY: One might say the Doctor is 'busy'. He has several depths and frequently ideas as a personal monologue go on beneath his surface. He can function in different compartments of thought at the same time, this being a Gallifreyan trait. The Doctor himself can be surprised by what traits dominate his personality after he regenerates. He doesn't always go opposite to the way he was last time but in this case, the 12th is seemingly different from the previous two regenerations. His new appearance looks old instead of youthful but he doesn't lack vigour. He is defintely alien, not seeking either approval or hugs: this Doctor gives off the vibe of being uncaring when he goes practical cool to solve a problem. He doesn't spare a moment lamenting in the midst of a situation. Gone is the reassuring man the previous two incarnations happened to be. This Doctor isn't approachable like he used to be though he doesn't consider himself hostile unless given reason to be. Just because he isn't always immediately demonstrative doesn't mean he has stopped caring. Don't expect him to be your best friend forever (certainly not upon making his acquaintance) and things should sort themselves out. He is indeed 'Scottish', inspired by companion Amelia Pond and his own previous self from much further back in time. A sense of humour is still in there but it is also darker and not as accessible as he used to be. HISTORY: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelfth_Do http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor SKILLS/ABILITIES: Personality Strengths: He is brave and loyal to his friends. His powers of observation are keen. He rarely misses a detail if at all. Brilliant, vast knowledge and great intelligence. His mind can do calculations at a phenominal rate. An amiable energy which naturally reaches out to others. This he learned to exhibit after he 'borrowed' the TARDIS in his original form, even though he hasn't always expressed it in each regeneration. Time Lord Strengths: --regeneration --has two hearts which lets him hold his breath longer, move drugs faster through his body, and expel foreign matter from his system more quickly --can survive in space without a pressure suit (for a short while at any rate) --telepathic ability --needs little to no sleep --physically stronger and tougher than humans --can survive and/or absorb great amounts of radiation --speaks or at least understands almost all languages, including baby, cat, horse and others of non-human origin --ability to withstand temporal effects, to see the shift in timelines others can't --he 'sees' time itself, knowing what can be changed and that which is a 'fixed point' in history --can analyse the composition of something by licking it. Generally, he possesses nimble intelligence and brilliance. The Doctor has an efficient brain and photographic memory always adding to his already comprehensive knowledge. WEAKNESS: Because he is a Time Lord, able to feel all of space and time, arrogance has become a large part of him. The Doctor can be so sure he has the final answer that he might become blinded to other options. Hatred for Daleks. Impatience/always needing to be in motion and doing something as well as a sometimes childish disregard of consequences when he's keen on pursuing some idea or action to its conclusion. Which can lead him to be impulsive. INVENTORY: --sonic screwdriver --psychic paper --pocket lint --red snooker ball --half-empty packet of jelly babies --various coins and currency of different nations/times --TARDIS key --clothing: dark blue jacket with red lining, dark blue waistcoat, dark blue trousers and shoes of course HOW LONG HAS YOUR CHARACTER BEEN HERE? A day or two PLOT INTENTIONS: --exploring the Centurus, obviously. --once more sorting out Clara, the Doctor's 'impossible girl' since she's now a slicer. --in general just relearning who he is as he hopefully makes new friends |
