family

Mother: Charlotte Granger
Father: David Granger
Sibling(s): None
Spouse: Ron Weasley
Children: Rose Weasley and Hugo Weasley
Other(s): The whole Potter/Weasley clan!

appearance

Height: 5'5
Build: Slightly curved
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown and curly, a bit more tamed than it was but it has moments of bushiness. She had it cut short after having Rose since that is a lot easier to manage.
Manner of Dress: Hermione is normally seen in suits for work however recently has taken some time off so can be seen casually dressed in jeans and commonly baggier shirts or t-shirts. She dresses practically and comfortably rather than in any way that shows off her body unless the occasion calls for it.
Distinguishing Features: Her bushy hair is always remarked on, which is even more so at the moment now she has two very young children so doesn't take the time to tame it. She still has the faint Mudblood scar that Bellatrix gave her. She had the option to have it removed, the joy of magic, but she has never wanted to get rid of it. It serves as a reminder of what they went through.
Other:

personality

preferences

likes: her husband (most of the time) her children (especially when they are curled in her arms), her family (including extended), reading, learning, equality, tea, cats
dislikes: bullies, hearing her children cry, injustice, flying

skills

strengths: clever, caring, determined, punctual, logical, loyal
weaknesses: bossy, quick to anger, can occasionally be jealous, opinionated

positive traits

☝ Loyal

Hermione always puts her friends first. She would do anything and everything to protect her friends and family and to keep them safe.

☝ Logical

Her quick thinking has helped her friends out of tricky situations many times. She thinks situations through until the clearest of options are available and does not jump into anything lightly.

☝ Loving

Hermione loves fiercely and utterly. This is especially obvious with her children who she is incredibly head over heels for. She would do anything for them.

☝ Intelligent

She has read more than her fair share of books and will not stop doing so. Her intelligence comes from her love of reading and she is already trying to share that by reading to her children.

☝ Determined

If there is something she wants, she will do everything she can. Be it how she feels about people and creatures being treated a certain way or what career she wants. She sets a path and she follows it.

negative traits

☟ Opinionated

Hermione has an opinion for pretty much everything. If there is something she is unhappy with, or happy, she will argue against anyone who thinks differently than her unless they put their point well.

☟ Bossy

This is something that everyone who knows her refers to. If she wants something done she is not afraid to order people around. She is incredibly aware of this, and does try to stop it, but she isn't really the best at preventing herself.

☟ Fiery

She is quick to anger and is not afraid to get into a verbal fight. Physical on a couple of occasions, as Draco probably remembers, but that is very rare.

☟ Insecure

She is not as insecure as she once was but she still has moments. She cares more about what people think than she lets on.

☟ Sensitive

Hermione lets her emotions get the better of her a lot. If someone upsets her she doesn't find it easy to brush it aside or prevent herself from thinking about it for a while after.

neither here nor there

☞ Rule Follower

She has always been a stickler for the rules, especially in school. This is something that has calmed down now that she's older but she doesn't like the idea of breaking the rules on a regular basis. Ron and Harry have calmed that in her, and tease her about it, but she can't help it. It's definitely a habit she finds difficult to break.

☞ Punctual

Hermione is never late. So much so that she counted down until her wedding and the birth of her children on her calendar and was ready well in advance for all three of those occasions. In fact, she had to wait for half an hour in a side room before the wedding ceremony because no one else was really there yet. It can be infuriating for her, she hates waiting, but she would much rather be early than even a few minutes late.

☞ Organised

Hermione is a bit of a neat freak. She likes to keep everything clean and in a certain place, which is a bit difficult with two extremely young children. She can be a bit more relaxed at times, since there is only so much she can do, however the minute the children are in bed she is very quick to reorganise. Even if it is with a flick of her wand.

history
Timeline: Please describe at least five important events in your character’s life and how they have impacted their growth.

(September/ 1990) - The day everything fell into place. Hermione had always felt like the odd one out and the minute she found out that she was a witch everything became normal. She no longer felt like an outsider as everything made sense. However, she did have the long wait given her eleventh birthday made her just miss the beginning of the year. Not that she complained, it gave her plenty of time to get the books she needed and to catch up on all those years of learning she didn't have. She very quickly began to master basic spells and desperately looked forward to going to Hogwarts.

(September/ 1991) - She finally arrived at the school she had been dreaming of. She knew the school system, including houses, and knew already that she would fit exceptionally well in Ravenclaw. But she went on to have a discussion with the Sorting Hat who seemed to think she suited Gryffindor more. She was later happy about that when she went on to become very close friends with Harry and Ron, though that did take some time. Her two boys who became more important than she could have imagined when she met them just shy of her twelfth birthday.

(May/ 1998) - The lead up to and the Battle of Hogwarts is something that will always stay with her. She saw so much destruction and death and, at times, it still comes back to her. She was willing to fight, she had to for her friends and the desperate need to not have Voldemort win, but that didn't mean she was happy with what happened during. Apart from one thing. Her kiss with Ron. It was a very long time coming and something which provided a moment of happiness during the torment. After the battle ended, and Hogwarts was restored, she decided to return to complete her final year at school. It was always important to her to finish her studies.

(July/ 1999) - Hermione went almost straight away into a job at the Ministry. Despite saying she wouldn't want to follow that type of career she really couldn't help it. She continued her work for the rights of House Elves and has managed to greatly improve things for House Elves and others like them. She had progressed quite well in this and continued the fight by joining the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and is slowly rising up the ranks, hoping to eradicate the oppressive laws.

(July/ 2003) - It took Ron quite some time to propose, which wasn't exactly surprising to Hermione. They began dating pretty much the moment after the battle commenced, the kiss starting it all off, but they wanted to take things slow because of the friendship at risk. But finally the proposal came and a year later they had a beautiful wedding which was mostly planned by Hermione with Ron willingly going along with discussions and taking part when he had an overwhelming feeling on something. However, she did keep her surname when she got married, disagreeing with the need to change her surname.

(May/ 2006) - The birth of their first child, Rose. Hermione was overjoyed to find out she was pregnant as, being the planner that she is, she had been anticipating it. They had decided to wait until they were settled after their marriage, especially with Hermione working hard through the ranks, but when they decided it was the right time she was eager to start a family. Holding Rose for the first time had overwhelmed her with love and she does anything for her little girl and always will.

(August/ 2008) - Along came Hugo, who made his presence known a lot whilst she was pregnant with him. He seemed to like to move and kick within her a lot and she is positive that he will be a little terror as he grows up. Either way, she loved her little bundle immensely when she had him and is only has only recently returned to work. She really has to given her role as the Deputy Head role, a position which has now come with the security of the ending of the oppressive pro-pureblood laws she had worked hard against. She finds it hard leaving them, but is also happy that there is such a close family unit around her and her children. During her pregnancy with Hugo, she began her translation of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which was recently published.

baggage
baggage

Please list 6-10 pieces of emotional baggage, describe their impact on your character’s life, and provide us with an idea of how they might be resolved in game. Examples include fears, sins, regrets, unrealized dreams, unlearned lessons, latent desires, unsettled grudges and personal losses.

  • Fear - Losing her children. The thought of another war happening, which she hopes is unlikely, fills her with dread as she hates to think of her children going through what happened during the last two wars or, even worse, losing them. With seeing them at an older age and happy this fear should hopefully be resolved as she will see that hasn't happened.
  • Regrets - She feels like she didn't entirely live out her life the way she could. Because of her need to live life by the rules, and her need to study and work hard, she missed out on some parts of life which she has only noticed now she has had time to think about it. She probably doesn't see family and friends as much as they, and she, would like. Through time, and persuasion, this could change so she is more willing to let go once in a while.
  • Unrealised Dreams - Although she was treated to trips by her parents, Hermione often kept her head in books during them or focused on the educational aspect of the trip. She needs to let go and experience the work around her and learn through experience and adventures more than reading and being prepared.
  • Unsettled grudges - Her feelings towards people like Draco Malfoy have not really changed. Although he has proven himself nowhere near as bad as how he was at school, she still hasn't begun to trust him as much as she might be able to. She is civil if she ever happens to be near him but she finds it hard to forgive the way he acted towards her. Maybe if they got to talk to each other more, as they might well do here, that might change.
  • Personal losses - She often thinks back to the experiences at school and those that were lost. People she had loved and admired that she wished she still had with her now. Dumbledore and those from school that were lost in the battle hit her hard and so did the death of Sirius. She also found it difficult to deal with the death of Remus and Tonks, two people she had come to love and respect dearly. She tries to stay in touch with Teddy but the feeling of survivors guilt definitely comes up a lot.
  • Fears - She sometimes wonders if she should have waited longer between having her children. Often, Hermione fears that Rose will grow up feeling pushed to the side as there is such a small gap between her and her brother. Given she is an only child, Hermione had wanted Rose to have someone else with her but she was still a baby when Hermione became pregnant again and although she loves her children equally she panics that there may be resentment between the two as they grow.
  • Fears - Bellatrix. Bellatrix has haunted her even if she's dead in her time. Seeing pure evil that close up terrifies her and even now she occasionally has nightmares reliving it. It can be debilitating at times and has prevented her from fully letting go of the war.
  • Unlearned lessons - Hermione has a strong idea of what is right and wrong. What is proper and improper. She needs to learn that not everything is so black and white and that those who are more grey are not as bad as they seem. She also kicks herself for the times she does anything remotely wrong and has to learn to take her own advice and not blame herself and to cut herself a bit of slack.
  • Fears - Hermione and Ron are different, to put it bluntly. She often worries that, despite loving each other, he might get sick of her one day and leave. She needs time with her husband to sort through her insecurities and realise that he still feels happy to be with her. The bullying she experienced all those years ago has stuck with her more than she realised and her feelings about herself need mended.

    rewards

Please list the items which, along with their wand, would motivate your character to open future pieces of luggage. These can consist of any object that possesses practical or sentimental value, such as a photo album, a favourite book, collected love letters from their significant other, and anything else you deem appropriate. Including their wand, list as many items as baggage items.

  • Wand
  • Charmed Handbag- Something which will always be of use to her. Given her need to carry the book she's reading, no matter the size, plus things for work or the children, it has come in handy.
  • Tales of Beedle the Bard- Both the version she was bequeathed from Dumbledore and the recently published one she translated. The original one has strong sentimental value as it comes from a man she dearly misses and respected.
  • Dumbledore's Army coin- She has kept it charmed, just in case. She never leaves home without it and always has it either in a coat pocket or in her purse.
  • Two scrapbooks- Two of her most treasured possessions. She has two scrapbooks, one for each child, which still have empty pages. They include scan pictures, hospital details, hospital wristbands, pictures of her pregnant and pictures up to the present day.
  • Photo album- Another treasured item. Involving pictures of both her muggle and magical life. A mixture of family, wedding and pictures with friends.

    samples

Please answer the following questions in character.

  • What was the last lie you told?
That I wasn't as exhausted as I felt when Ron asked if I was tired or if he could go nap. He looked so tired, he is working and then helping with the little ones, so he deserved to. I find it a lot easier to work on little sleep than he does.

  • What do you think about the most: the past, the present or the future? Why?
The present more than the other two, though all three work in tandem. The past affects daily decisions as does the future, but for now I have to focus on Rose and Hugo and what affects them in the present.

  • How do you feel about socks?
There is nothing better than putting on a pair of comfortable, possibly fluffy, socks in the morning. Especially in winter.

  • Would you rather be gossiped about or never talked about?
Never talked about. Unlikely to happen, given the past, but I would much rather a normal life where no one discussed me.

  • If you were the opposite sex for a day, what would you look like and what would you do?
I imagine my hair would be even worse to control than Harry's is, which is saying something. I'm not sure what I would do. There's nothing I would be able to do as a man that I can't do as a woman.

    Thread:
Hermione didn't understand why this sort of thing still terrified her. They had been on dates before. They had shared plenty of kisses. And yet when it came to discussing what was actually going on between them both, well, Hermione wasn't exactly finding it easy to start any sort of serious conversation. Most definitely not the norm for her of course. Hermione was usually no stranger to starting the more serious of conversations in many situations. She had always been logical. Longing to know just how things are and it seemed that her relationship with Ron was to be no different. Most definitely not.

She knew that the restaurant he had wished them to go to was, perhaps, slightly fancier than some places so she had found a pretty skirt and blouse and had ensured her curls were tamed more than usual. Although they knew pretty much everyone here and she felt that no one would really comment if they did not dress formally, or a little formally at least, she still wished to do as the rules stated. But now she just had to wait.

She had rather wished she could have a chance to speak with Ginny before they left but she knew her friend was busy. Given the discussion they had briefly had on Harry coming to meet Ginny, well, Hermione could guess that Ginny would need the time to prepare her mind for what may happen. So she sat quietly, her bag at her feet and a book in her lap, as she waited for Ron.
