1. i'm going to get broadband phone service and see what it's like. not to replace my regular phone, but more because for the very small number of calls i make, local toll and long distance service is costing me about as much as broadband phone would (for a similar minimal plan), but broadband has lots of fun features and the potential for a NYC local number... er, maybe i'm doing it just because it's a cool new toy. whatever.
2. i now know of two restaurants that are open on christmas day. this makes me only half as pissed off as i was yesterday (when i only knew of one) to be living in what is increasingly a christian nation, rather than an appropriately-secular one. this is a far far better state of being than two years ago, when i couldn't find anything to eat on christmas day and therefore did not eat. apparantly, a 24/7 supermarket isn't what it used to be. mostly, though, this all makes me miss NYC, where there were many places to get food (restaurants and supermarkets) open all the time (late at night as well as holidays).
3. i'm bored bored bored. other than ordering food and talking to myself, i don't think i've talked to anyone (out loud conversation) since i left work thursday.
