do people actually walk around already knowing their ring size(s)? do women? do these size numbers have any logic to them other than being sequential numbers (in fourths)?

when i was in high school, a few friends and i would often listen to "loveline" together, late at night, over the phone--that is, we'd both be listening, and we'd be on the phone to each other and talk about the show. there was something nice about listening to the radio with someone else like that.
