it's just what i do
tomorrow (well, later today, technically), i start the semester, teaching stuff i've never taught before and haven't used in a long time for the first time in a few years. so i went out tonight, of course. it's really not a big deal. i probably should have done more prep work than i have, but tomorrow and in fact this whole week aren't going to be hard and aren't really going to involve anything new to me.

i like being out with these people (or, most specifically the one girl, and generally the guy friend that's usually there with her). it's nice and relaxing now and i don't have that usual anxiety i get about being out at a bar with people. it'll be interesting to see what it's all like next month when the guy through whom i met her comes back from asia. i kind of hope the other friends that are usually with this guy when i see him aren't around quite so often.

i don't think i'm writing the most coherent/intelligent/interesting entry and since i have to be up in like 4-5 hours, i think i'm going to stop now and get ready for bed.
