Personality info here. At least 5 explained traits for personality. Born into one of the minor noble families, the twins' lives started on a good note. Even when the first uprising hit, it didn't really have much impact on them apart from their parents being a little more on edge. No, Iliana's life was going just fine... until the crash.

She was 7 when she and her twin became orphans. The transport their parents were travelling in was in an accident, and they both died. The twins' aunt Margaret became their guardian, and Iliana hated her from the start, too interested in the power and the money, and not seeming to care for the girls at all. Iliana would refuse to speak to her, instead only choosing to communicate with her twin.

By the time they were 10, Margaret had made enough mistakes that the three of them were demoted to Citizens. The house was sold, they moved to more modest lodgings, and a more modest life style. Iliana started learning how to find ways to get things without the need for the money her aunt never had for them. At first it was favours, small tasks, then as she grew into her teens and her body developed, it became her lips, her hands, her body. She became more smart about using what she had to her advantage, and the advantage of her sister, the twins both as prone to trying to protect her sister as the other.

When their schooling finished, she took a job, attempted to work towards getting away from their aunt, and for five years they got by, with as little contact with Margaret as she could have.

It turned out they could never really get away though. Margaret got into some bigger trouble, and in trying to fix it, she dragged the twins into it with her, getting them deeply in debt to one of the nobles, Sam Brenner. They looked set to be all forced to become slaves to pay their way out. That was not something Iliana was going to allow for herself or her twin. So she made a deal with him. Margaret could be dealt with however he saw fit, but in order to protect herself and her twin, she would give herself to him. She became his concubine and took on helping to run the pleasure side of Sam's business.
