HISTORY
HOGWARTS AND BEFOREGrowing up in the Muggle World, Seamus did not have much exposure to magic until he got his letter for Hogwarts. Of course, he knew his Ma was a witch, that had always been an open secret in the house, but he didn’t really understand what that meant. To him Witches were people in books who stood over cauldrons and put curses on people, that looked nothing like his Ma. So, when he finally arrived at Hogwarts, he was happy to know that he couldn’t have been more wrong about it all if he tried.POST WAR
Throwing himself quickly into his newfound life, he was lucky to find extremely good friends in his dorm mates, especially Dean and Neville, as well as a natural aptitude for magic. Sure, he had a slight bit too much enthusiasm that sometimes caused things to blow upon him, but overall, he couldn’t have loved his new life if he tried. Besides, he found that enthusiasm was actually pretty good for him when it came to things like duelling, where he had the high energy and focus to actually perform pretty damn well when compared to his year mates.
During most of his time at Hogwarts, Seamus largely kept his head down, hung out with his best friends and even managed to score a date with the gorgeous Miss Lavender Brown for the Yule Ball. Of course, though, being the dormmate of “The Boy Who Lived” was not exactly going to be without its ups and downs. His mother even went so far as to try and stop Seamus from going back to school for his Fifth Year, believing Harry to be a bad influence due to what she had read in the Daily Prophet. That being said, when the time came, Seamus was among some of the first to pledge his allegiance to Dumbledore’s Army.
Trying his best to keep his head down and focus on his training for Dumbledores Army, it was only two short years later that Seamus would find that practice coming into use. After a particularly tough few weeks under the Carrow regime that involved a few particularly bad beatings for standing up for younger kids, one that rendered him so bruised his friends barely recognized him, enough was enough. When the call went up, Seamus stood on the front row of the battle, willing to lay down his life to defend principles that he believed in.
