He wanted Jill to be comfortable, to not feel like any part of their partnership was any different. He was going to stick with Jill until the very end. He knew his words were sometimes wrongly placed, but he hoped Jill would forgive him for not always finding the right things to say. He believed he was worse now with trying not to walk on delicate matters regarding what she went through. The last thing the BSAA operative would want to do was give her flashbacks of her hellish past with Wesker.
"Here. Have some of mine," he offered, putting the cup near her. "I hate to inform you, but they say it's going to be worse here than the outbreak in Asia. They should have sent us there first, but instead we're starting off in a hellzone." Chris didn't know if that was the best idea for Jill, but if she wanted to go the same destinations as Chris, she'd have to try and be strong enough to deal with the worst.
"We're almost there. You can't miss houses in flames."
