What can be said about the girl who's biography isn't even listed online? Ha. The name is Doutzen (like Dow-tzen) Kroes (like Cruise). I'm 24,from Eastermar and I'm a model.
I don't have this long amazing journey into modeling to talk about like some of the girls I work with. I grew up in the Netherlands (Friesland), made good grades and graduated, pretty simple, no? Growing up, i had always loved fashion and dressing up, playing with makeup. I was fortunate enough to have a certain "look" about me that garnered me a few remarks about trying out for modeling. After thinking it over for a while, I decided to give it a shot, get some pictures taken and maile them off to an agency. I mailed them in to Paparazzi in Amsterdam, and the rest is basically history. I was flown to Amsterdam where I took some test shots. I was told that I'd be hearing from them soon.
Shortly after that, I had gotten work with Calvin Klein, later becoming their spokesmodel. After Calvin Klein, I got to work with Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, the list goes on and on.
In 2005, I was selected to be apart of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It went so well, they had me come back and do it again the following year AND in 2008. 2 years ago (as of august), Victoria's Secret added me on as one of their Angels; and I had the privlage of working my first campaign, "Supermodel Obsession" with the ever so lovely Adriana Lima.
Now that that is out of the way, I Love dancing, jogging on the beach, especially early in the morning when theres no one else around. Something about being one with the water and the birds. I like surfing, although I'm not very good at it. And I love ice skating...well, speed skating to be more specific. I was really good at it. So good, I had done it competitively for a little while, but I like modeling more than speed skating. I also love to cook! Ask any of my friends, whenever they come over, I cook for them and we watch movies. I'm a pig but I make sure that when I pig out, I make up for it with a good workout, whatever it may be.
And saving the best for last, in January of 2011, I welcomed my first child, my son Phyllon (Fillen). Motherhood thus far as been amazing. I am currently both mother and father to Phyllon,which doesn't bother me any. His father and I split up very early on in my pregnancy, He wasn't ready to be a parent and didn't want anything to do with him, so it made my decision to leave very easy. What Phyllon lacks in a father figure right now, my family, friends and I make up for tenfold. He's extremely loved and thats all I could ask for.
I guess that's me in a nutshell..
i do not understand that saying, "in a nutshell" I like it but I don't get it, haha. I'm a little new when it comes to things like that.
I'm fun, friendly, a little random but thats what people like about me.
