Eddie is first and foremost a big jokester especially when he gets around his best friends Gary and Roman. His friend John was included in that as well until John made the decision to take his own life a decision that Eddie partially blames himself for due to the fact that he was sleeping with John's wife in secret at the time and they found out after John's suicide that she was pregnant with Eddie's child a secret shame for a bit of his despite how much he loves his daughter.

Second of all Eddie is a rockstar which unfortunately goes hand in hand with his being an alcoholic and an addict. While he was touring with his band he was known to do all kinds of drugs and mix them with a ton of booze until he went to rehab to get clean. He stayed clean for many years which was a point of pride for him with his having a son Theo but something things happened and he ended up falling off the wagon and having to go back to rehab.

The last thing that makes up a part of who Eddie is would be the fact he's in a wheelchair. He was involved in a hit-and-run accident coming out of a bar one night where he hadn't even been drinking and it left him paralyzed from the waist down changing his life forever. It was the painkillers from this accident that caused him to fall off of the wagon and to end up back in rehab paid for thanks to his best friend Gary. He owes his life to Gary and would do anything for him to this day.
