Contact Information NAME: Annie INSTANT MESSENGER: AIM: toneofsurprise@hotmail.co.uk E-MAIL ADDRESS: See above TIMEZONE: GMT OOC INFO AGE: 27 PB: Domhall Gleeson JOURNAL TO BE USED: ![]() Basics FULL NAME: Arthur Weasley NICKNAMES: Weasley DOB (AGE): 29 | 6th February, 1950 BLOOD STATUS: Pureblood CURRENT OCCUPATION (IF ANY): Recent promotion to the Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office Family/Relationships PARENTS: Septimus Weasley (father) | Cedrella Weasley (née Black) SIBLINGS: Bilius and George Weasley SEXUALITY: Heterosexual SIGNIFICANT OTHER: That old ball and chain, Molly Weasley CHILDREN: William (Bill), 8 Charles (Charlie), 6 Percy, 2 Fred and George, nearly 1 Education HOUSE/YEAR: Gryffindor, 1969 Politics LOYALTY/ALLIANCE: Order of the Phoenix ROLE IN THE WAR: While Arthur is not a bad wizard, he was by no means top of his class... He might well have done better had he not spent his later years chasing after a certain redhead and paying the price for it (see cane anecdote). He is loyal and brave, though, and will do whatever he can to support the war effort. POLITICAL VIEWS: Arthur has not got time for your purist shit. He's got to knock Molly up again and make sure Charlie doesn't run away with the dragons, okay? NOT. GOT. TIME. Personality BOGGART: His entire family murdered. This has developed since the war to include the Burrow burning to the ground around them. PATRONUS: Weasel LIKES: Delia Smith, everything and anything Muggle, technology, telephones, Arsenal (he doesn't understand football but Gryffindor red--he may sleep in the shirt), Molly's cooking, extravagant games of hide and seek, camping, Prewett brothers (Fabian may be his favourite), Sunday mornings, sleep, DISLIKES: Purism, arrogance, sharing his food (he may eat standing up, on the run), burnt toast, a quiet house. STRENGTHS: Curious, protective, oddly wise, intuitive, brave, dependable WEAKNESSES: Obsessive with his love of muggles (somewhat reckless about this: see Ford Anglia), sometimes too outspoken (especially during the war), unambitious within his position, ruled by his heart, lacking in social graces, over exuberant. History CHILDHOOD: While his mother was disowned for being a blood traitor, it was clear that the woman had always been used to a certain level of luxury. Arthur wasn't sure whether or not his mother had really considered the implications of being struck off the tapestry when swept up in the romance, but once the honeymoon period was over, the marriage became strained. Arthur had always been closer to his father (who was also intrigued by muggles), and over the years his mother grew to truly resent the life she had found herself in. The purist comments were always subtle in his youth but as he grew, she became less unfiltered. HOGWARTS: Arthur was an able student in the early years. He had a particular fondness for Charms and perhaps would have excelled in that if he had more discipline. So much potential was often banded around, but he found himself preferring to spend his time with his friends--learning about Muggleborns and the technology they brought with them. In his final years at Hogwarts (after spending a great many years admiring from afar), he actively pursued a relationship with Molly Prewett. His sixth and seventh years were consumed by her and it was a true wonder he passed any of his exams at all. POST-HOGWARTS: When Arthur looks back on his years post-Hogwarts, he has a genuine sense of hurry. Their wedding had been a joy but also necessary due to her parents objections. While he had always wanted a family, he had been surprised at just how quickly Molly fell pregnant... It became a running joke by the time the twins came along that he'd only have to look at her to get her pregnant. The war effort has also taken its tole on the family. The loss of Wilhelmina Vance within their home was a difficult thing to come to terms with. In fact, for months following he thought the memories were far too painful. They managed to put that behind them though there's a small area in the garden that Arthur has set up--small and simple and easy to miss, but he didn't feel right not remembering the woman who had saved his family. In terms of his career, Arthur was always happy enough to potter along. His passion and interest for Muggle life sent him towards that department, but it was by no means a money earner. There were other positions on offer but he would never have been able to stick at a job that he wasn't excited about. The last year, he has recently been promoted to the Head of the department... though it's a department of two so make of that what you wish! Samples JOURNAL ENTRY: Never give in - never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense - Winston Churchill I think Lana would have agreed with his sentiment. Brave girl--funny, vivacious. She will be missed by so many. My thoughts go to her family during this time. Molly Did you find your journal in the end? [...] If you did, sit down and eat. I left you the biggest piece of pie in the fridge. Don't even think about giving it to the boys. Bill will tell me. Nyx and Em I know it's short notice but I need some help with a dress. She's lost weight... and if I get her the wrong size, I'll never hear the end of it. RP SAMPLE: N/A |
