It is never easy in our world to be with someone just because we love them. You have to decide if the danger is real and if you feel you can protect them properly. Since it says 'risk' I'm going to assume there's not an immediate threat to either of you, which means you can allow yourself to be happy.

If the threat is immediate, then you have to decide one way or another what you want to do. It is your life in the end, but nothing is worth hurting someone else. You have to make your decisions for you and you alone, even if they are difficult to make.
