Technically, as long as you didn't sever your optical nerve, you'd still be able to see. It would just be painful, and very blurry as your eyes would still be trying to consolidate the images recieved into one, but would be unable to because of the different angle. Your balance would also be awful as you'd have little depth perception, and it would be painful.
So... you still shouldn't. But you'd still be able to see.
