He stands at about five foot seven inches, but he has never hated his short stature. He is of average weight since he can not be too heavy to be a detective and run after suspects. He is pretty clean cut and loves his suits and sweaters.

Ryan is a very carrying person. He wants to take care of humans and protect them. He has a very sarcastic sense of humor, often making deadpan jokes. He is a geek that holds a wealth of obscure knowledge. He has a habit of letting his mouth get ahead of his thoughts, resulting in several rather awkward moments. He is, nevertheless, extremely smart and charming.

When pressed, he can become tense, though this is rare and he tends to keep his feelings to himself. He has a loyal and protective nature, that allows him to stay calm and help others in the face of danger. Ryan believes that no one is above the law and is not willing to make an exception. He likes to form wild theories about investigations, and even narrates.

HISTORY:
Ryan was born the third child and only son of James and Ashley Ryan in New York. His mother had been a slave and her husband was a free shifter that owned her. Being the only son there were expectation put on him. He had to become a detective, like his father. So he was set upon that path, but he liked it. He liked protecting people. His parents also sent him and his sisters to Catholic school. His oldest sister, Claire was kidnapped at just seventeen years old. Ryan would try to find her, but has yet to succeed. Because of Catholic school Ryan is very reverent towards any and all nuns and priests, nuns also scared him shitless.

After he graduated high school he went to jr. college and got an associates in criminal justice before he entered the police academy. He wanted to be a narcotics detective like his father. When he was twenty his sister, Helene, was married to a mage. His parents were not all the happy about it but she was in love with him. From Helen he has two nieces and a nephew.

He after graduating the academy he went into narcotics. When he was still green he nearly got a girl killed by taking a call and calling out a woman's name that had been an informant. He still calls it is the stupidest thing he has ever done as a cop. During his time there he went under cover into in a mob. He still does not want to talk about his time undercover.

He stayed in narcotics until his mother died. His father moved up state to be closer to Helene and her kids. Ryan wanted a change so he so he transferred out of narcotics he went into homicide. He was barely in homicide a few months before someone set him up by someone, he still does not know to this day. Because of his crimes he was sentenced to life as a slave.

Ryan was bought by a vampire, a fear he had always had. Someone that would use him and then kill him, but Gregory Dyer was much nicer than any other vampire he had ever met. He even let him continue being a police detective but there was a condition. Ryan had to be fed on. He didn't like the feelings he experienced during, but he did like that his life didn't change that much. Over the three years he has been owned he started to really care about Gregory as a friend. After three years Ryan realized that he had been falling in lover with his friend. It took him a bit to come around, but when he did he he realized what he had been missing.
