Zayne is definitely a person that is warmhearted and approachable despite his more alternative appearance. He has an altruistic spirit and a friendly disposition. Zayne strives to get along with pretty much everyone, and his circle of acquaintances and friends stretches far and wide. Zayne lives for deep, meaningful conversations, but he can also be spontaneous and lighthearted. Zayne knows how to find fun and joy in the present moment – and few things give him more pleasure than sharing his joy with others.

Zayne can find beauty and fascination in nearly anything. Imaginative and open-minded, he isn't afraid to venture beyond his comfort zone in search of new ideas, experiences, and adventures. Moreover, his curiosity extends beyond simply seeking novelty. He also has a deep desire to understand how things work and why they are the way they are. APPEARANCE

Zayne has always been that typical hot guy. He's always been thin and kind of tall- about five foot-eleven inches. Zayne likes to use light product in his brown hair and often styles it back. His eyes are light blue. Zayne is more alternative than the other members of his family even though he is one of the youngest. He has tattoos dotting his body, mainly on his arms but also a few on his chest, neck, hands, and face. While he would rather not, he does have glasses but typically wears contact lenses. Zayne's style would best be described as a "bad boy"- he wears more of a punk/alternative style- ripped jeans, boots, graphic tees with skulls and whatnot even though he is definitely more of a soft boy. Zayne also sports jewelry from time to time- studs in his ears and sometimes a hoop in his nostril. He has a variety of rings and necklaces to go with his outfits but sometimes is hit or miss whether he wears them or not.

HISTORY

Zayne is the youngest boy born out of six siblings. He was born into a lower-middle class family in New Orleans. Zayne has four older siblings- three brothers and a sister; and one younger sister. Zayne had a pretty typical childhood growing up. With so many siblings, he often did feel a bit forgotten as he wasn't quite the baby and not the loudest of the bunch. Sometimes he felt lonely but it wasn't hard for Zayne to make friends.

Though it wasn't hard for him to make friends, he had gotten himself into a couple not so great relationships during his early teens to his current situation. With wanting to keep the peace, he found it hard to set boundaries with his boyfriends and struggled more to keep them. It led to some emotionally and physically abusive relationships. Of course he hid what was happening from his family and friends. Bruises could usually be covered or explained away but the emotional toll it took was hard to hide.

While Zayne had always been fond of music and loved singing from a young age, he never thought he could pursue music professionally growing up. It never seemed like something that would actually happen for him. But when he had these relationships that were like riding the worlds most insane roller coaster, he picked up his acoustic guitar and put his emotions into song.

After one particularly scary night with a boyfriend that was probably far too old for him, Zayne ended up in a huge fight with him- he can't remember what the argument was or why they had been arguing. Something about the way he had smiled at his boyfriend's friend? Anyway, Zayne ended up with bruises around his neck and a black eye that he couldn't hide no matter how hard he tried.

By some stroke of luck that followed his horrible break up, there had been an advertisement for a few local shows coming up. After a bout of depression, his parents had been deeply worried about his emotional state but when they saw how he perked up at the thought of going to a music audition, they couldn't refuse. His parents were behind him one hundred percent. Even his brothers and sisters went to hype him up.

Waiting to audition was probably the hardest part. Zayne was practically radiating with anxious energy. After auditioning, he left and waited for a decision. Days went by and Zayne felt like he was going to go insane. Finally, the call came. Zayne was selected to take part in the local show.

Zayne was so happy to be able to perform at the little local concert. He decided to sing one of his original songs while playing his guitar. It wasn't like he was discovered and going pro or anything but at least it was a step in the right direction. After the show, Zayne had decided he was going to keep trying. Eventually he moved out on his own, got a job at the small coffee shop called Beans & Books while he continued practicing his music. Eventually he got another chance to play live. It went so well that he went out to celebrate afterwards. He deserved to feel good and what he wanted was some positive physical attention for once- unfortunately still stuck with an abusive asshole of a boyfriend. Zayne didn't tell him he was going out for this reason. He didn't care if he was cheating. He was sure his boyfriend had hookups all the time behind his back. But this night would be different because he wouldn't be going home afterward. During this night out, he met Aesir. The devastatingly handsome man that started as a one night stand and ended with Zayne wearing the vampire's collar and becoming an owned human.
