PERSONALITY! Lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric Luna is dreamy and often distant around most people, talking of imaginary creatures and things not many other people understand. She is often described as weird or ‘loony’. What not a lot of people realize is that she is more than all of these things. She is a girl with imagination enough to believe that sometimes the things that we cannot see or understand can be real. Not everything needs to have absolute proof for it to be real. She believes fully in her father and the creatures he believes in. Her father’s stories helped develop a strong attachment to all creatures and a desire to learn about all kinds of animals: magical or not. Her mind is open to the possibility of all things, which is a lot of why she loves theories and experimenting with magic. She has a habit of being bluntly honest with people. It’s not meant to hurt them, but because she believes that one should be truthful above all else. She’s never been a fan of lies. Not even if you’re lying to save someone’s feelings. Of course, it doesn’t help that her filter isn’t always turned on. The only time this probably doesn't work, oddly enough, is with the other students that hide her stuff. With them she is almost absolutely quiet, preferring to say nothing. Luna has a rather good understanding of human emotions, which gives her a keen insight into people sometimes. If she can tell you’re upset, she will do her best to help you feel better. As to how well it works, she’s never quite certain. The only real problem she runs across is that she doesn’t always understand her own emotions. She is a generally optimistic and happy person, believing that remaining upset about the past doesn't help, and that one must focus on what there is now. You have to make now happy because you can't make the past happy now that it's already gone. She almost always goes out of her way to help others be happy when she can, understanding that her methods do not always work. Though, she is also of the firm belief that one doesn't give up before one tries, so she will try and go in hoping to succeed. The bad side (if you want to look at it that way) when it comes to Luna is that she has trouble leaving her dream world to come back to the real one at times. She just gets so lost in pretty images and happy endings that it makes it difficult to come back to a world with mean people and the possibility that all endings will not be happy. Sometimes Luna forgets to sleep or she just can't sleep, so she takes to wandering the halls or sitting in her common room. There are occasions where thinking over new theories or ideas...or even just about little random things gets in the way of her body's ability to remind her that she needs to eat. During these times, a gentle nudge from someone can bring her about and get her to eat. Despite ill treatment from some of her Housemates, Luna has never been one to hold a grudge. Your past actions are your past. That’s not to say she doesn’t have a backbone, it’s just that she can take slights to her own person far better than she can take them when it comes to others. It may hurt to know that many of the people you talk to dislike you or make fun of you, but Luna refuses to let that change her approach to it. She’s very aware of the way that people see her, but a slightly stubborn part of her refuses to let that knowledge make her change herself. Why should she change who she is because people can’t see the world the way she does? The fact that she doesn’t really have a lot of friends makes those that she does have very special to her. She always holds them in high regard. Around them she feels she can speak freely and be herself without ridicule. If she makes a mistake, she is almost assured that they will tell her so. Habits: Luna has the habit of drifting off mid-conversation if she doesn't like the topic. She also tends to look up a lot when she's thinking about something. If she gets really excited about something, she tends to grab people's hands and her eyes get very wide. When she's trying to remember something, like a place, she will stop whatever it is she's doing and draw it out in the air with her fingers.
CHARACTER SURVEY! Lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric lyric WHAT'S IN YOUR CHARACTER'S REFRIGERATOR? When it's not blown up, usually vegetables, random roots, left overs, anything really that she has decided deserves a place in there. IS YOUR CHARACTER TYPICALLY THE BIG SPOON OR THE LITTLE SPOON? Luna doesn't know what a spoon has to do with anything, but she also doesn't think it should matter if she is big or little. A spoon is a spoon, you see. WHAT IS THE MOST IMPULSIVE PURCHASE YOUR CHARACTER HAS EVER MADE? She hasn't actually had to purchase anything. BIGGEST FEAR? REGRET? Honestly there isn't much that scares Luna, but she was very worried about her father's well-being when she was imprisoned. She really doesn't regret anything. Every experience is a learning experience. BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT? Wordlessly knocking out a DE & surviving the war. WHO DOES YOUR CHARACTER VALUE THE MOST? Her father and her friends (you know who you are) DO THEY HAVE A FATAL FLAW? WHAT IS IT? Probably being too trusting. IF THEY DIED OR WENT MISSING, WHO WOULD MISS THEM MOST? WHAT WOULD BE ON THEIR HEADSTONE? Her father. Probably something floaty and poetic or something about "She was never afraid to be herself" WHAT ARE THE TOP FIVE MOST DEFINING MOMENTS OF YOUR CHARACTER'S LIFE? 1. Her mother's death. 2. Meeting Ginny Weasley & getting her first friend 3. Joining the DA & the fight in the Department of Mysteries 4. Kidnapping & subsequent imprisonment & Harry saving her 5. The Battle at Hogwarts IF YOUR CHARACTER'S HOME WAS ON FIRE, WHAT THREE ITEMS WOULD THEY SAVE AND WHY? Her father. That's it. Everything else can be replaced.
