As a prefect, I try to keep an open mind about first years. I know how hard it was to come here, away from my family and friends, and try to learn the ropes. Fending for yourself is never easy, after all. However, I can't seem to find a way to excuse some of the behavior I saw on my way to breakfast. Especially since some of that behavior resulted in a sort of sticky substance being vaulted from one of the corridors and landing in my hair and on the front of my school robes. I heard one shout about me taking them off right there in the hall laughter and scrambling feet, but luckily was able to catch them as they fled. I still had to go through most of my morning classes looking like a slob before I could slip away back to my room to change.

Needless to say, they were properly punished. Even though my mood is ruined
