As Little Red Riding Hood she lives with her Grandmother. She lived in a poor run down village that was terrorized by wolves. She really wanted to run away with her love Peter who happened to be the son of a blacksmith. Granny always warned Red to wear her red cloak, reminding her that red repels the wolves. It was soon discovered that she was responsible for Peter’s death and that she was the wolf.

In Storybrooke, Ruby works in her Granny’s diner. She is rebellious by nature and often fights with her Granny about shifts and working in general. She is also very caring when it comes to her friends and will often go to any measure to help them out.
