Age: Technically 61. She spent years trapped in a curse, where she did not age. Excluding the curse years she's 33.

Physical Description: Human with the ability to turn into a very large wolf.
Personality:
Ruby struggles with the idea of control. In her past, she was controlled by others. The fact that she was a werewolf was kept secret from her, resulting in her killing many people, including her own boyfriend. When she learned the truth, she was horrified by all she'd done, and angry that her nature had been kept secret from her. As a young adult, she was placed under a curse, along with her entire community. For twenty-eight years, she had no memory of her real life, including her werewolf side. When the curse broke, and she once again discovered she was a werewolf, she felt like a monster - as if people needed to be protected from her.

This issue of being controlled, impacted Ruby greatly. It went to the extent that she hated the idea of being controlled, even when she had lost her memories of her life and forgot she was a wolf. During the years where she was cursed, she was very flirtatious, impulsive, and at times self-destructive, letting down her beloved grandmother. After her memories were returned, and with some new experiences, she realized that for her - acceptance is better than control. Ever since she accepted her wolf side, she has been able to enjoy it without hurting others. She accepted her own traits as well, finding ways to have fun and to also be responsible. This has resulted in a confident, well-adjusted woman. The one exception to her confidence is that she still feels she could never live up to her grandmother's reputation for cooking, running a restaurant, and being a good person. Her Granny is an amazing woman in her eyes.

Ruby is naturally very outgoing, personable and makes friends easily. She has a tendency to want to be around others and care for them, similar to how wolves prefer to be in a pack. Once she has a very close friend, she considers them to be a part of her family and is extremely loyal to them. She has gone as far as killing her own mother in order to save one of her best friends. It should be noted that she was raised by her grandmother and was not as close to her mother as a result.

Ruby has developed a good sense of humor. There was a time when she was easily annoyed by jokes about her being a wolf. She is able to accept them easily now. She is taken from just before she accepted the nickname "Wolfie" from her girlfriend, something she would not have done back when she was still struggling with her dual human and wolf
nature.

Skills/Powers/Abilities:

Werewolf - Ruby has the ability to turn into a very large wolf. In this state, she has extreme strength, speed, the ability to communicate telepathically with other werewolves, a powerful bite and enhanced senses. There is a risk of killing anyone she bites, and if they manage to survive - they might turn into a werewolf. Fortunately, under normal circumstances, she is still aware of who she is in wolf form and would not hurt anyone. Her clothes transform with her as well, turning into fur and back to clothes - meaning that she is fully clothed when she reverts to her human form.

In human form In that human form, her senses are very strong, especially those of smell and hearing. She is also very strong and fast. She has a special ability to understand animals, especially canines.
