PERSONALITY: Mike is a bit of a handful. He’s too smart for his own good which causes a lot of problems for his dad and later his step mom and step-sister Courtney Whitmore. He finds classes boring since he gets the stuff so quickly which causes him to attack out. When he was younger it got so bad he was sent to military school. He eventually got kicked out of that for being a behaviorally problem but not before stealing a general’s got which he kept. The behavior issues got less bad once his dad started letting him work on his mech S.T.R.I.P.E. But there still are problems since now Mike likes to skip classes to work on upgrades for S.T.R.I.P.E. in the school shop class room. Which may have lead to him causing accidently massive power outages due to him not thinking things through. None the less his dad can’t turn down the parts he makes since they are such high quality.
Mike has his father’s sense of justice and can’t stand to see the big guy picking on the little guy one bit which usually ends with a fight that he typically wins. He doesn’t think much of doing this since to him it’s just the right thing to do that anyone would do. To him this type of thing is not about recognition at all.
Mike is a bit of a brat and is not above throwing a wrench towards his dad when mad at him. Not to hit him of course. He also really wanted to be the new star-spangled kid but when Courtney took it they fought of the cosmic converter belt breaking it which he still claims is her fault. This is part of the reason that Mike can be such a handful.
Mike has a real thing for animals especially dogs. Mike almost never goes anywhere without his dog Patton. He’s got Patton really well trained to him but otherwise Patton is just as much of a handful as Mike is.
Mike still wants to be a hero just like his dad and his late Uncle Sly the first Star-spangled Kid. Since the whole being the new Star-spangled kid can’t happen his dad has been keeping him in line by training him with mechanics and in everything else that he knows. Mike hasn’t figured out that his dad doesn’t want him to be a superhero anytime soon but Mike has thrown himself into the mechanics which he has a natural knack for and constantly argues with his dad about letting him be a superhero.
ABILITIES: Mike is a mechanical genius and has been helping his dad fix cars since he was 2 and working on S.T.R.I.P.E. since he was eight. Mike is also one of few people in his universe that has a natural understanding of cosmic energy and technology that utilizes it. Mike also has some skills from his trouble making like being able to hot wire and drive a car. He also has a little bit of fighting training from his dad.
WEAKNESSES: Mike is a normal human teenager and has all the weaknesses that come with that.

WHY HAS YOUR CHARACTER CAUGHT THE EYE OF THE COLLECTOR?: Mike is the son of a hero from the forties and is a mechanical genius in his own right. He also is one of few people that understands cosmic energy and technology and is capable of repairing it.
