What a great year to be a Hogwarts student! And what an absolute honour it is that we get to host such a long-standing tradition. I've read about Durmstrange and Beauxbatons, of course, but it'll be very different to actually get the chance to meet and interact with the students there. I know there is a lot of disappointment going round about Quidditch being cancelled, but I just know once we get started with all of the Triwizard activities, no one will even miss Quidditch.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns and don't feel comfortable talking with a professor, my door is always open. As is, I hope, Leon's.

It will be interesting to meet students from other schools.

Bra-size, right? What does it mean? You have a number and a letter.

Paying someone to take off theirs doesn't count.

Even if you bought them dinner first.

I am offended! I don't pay people to take off their bras like some sort of pervert.

Maybe I pay in services.

The number is the band size, and the letter is the cup size. The band size is usually the same number as the underbust (ribcage) measurement, though if the underbust measurement is an uneven number, it's usually rounded up 1 inch, since band sizes are all even numbers. There's a misconception that one is supposed to add 4 or 5 inches, but that's an outdated rule. The cup size is the relation of the bust measurement in proportion to the underbust measurement. It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, but I think the usual way it goes is that if the bust measurement is an inch bigger than the underbust measurement, then the cup size is A. If it's 2 inches bigger, it's a B. 3 inches bigger, it's a C, and so on.

Just a little. I think the attention to detail really gives it away.

So basically, a big number means a big ribcage, whereas a letter further on in the alphabet means more actual boobage?

I have a question.

Where are your open doors located? Is it the doors to your dorms, or your bedrooms? Or, better yet, to the famed prefect's bathroom?

Definitely not the bathroom. Too steamy.

You can find me either in the Heads office or via this journal, of course.

It is a great year to be here, isn't it? It hasn't happened in such a long time and now it is here and we get to all see it. I wonder what the people from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons will be like? Do you think they will speak good English?

I imagine most of them will speak English well enough but if they don't, perhaps some of us ought to brush up our French and -- is it Russian?
