6.
I know that it's not conventional, the way the choosing of the champions went, but it's the way it happened, and we've all got to muster up the excitement and such in these coming weeks. All four champions were chosen and the contract is binding and it will be wonderful to see how the tournament progresses, won't it?

As always, if anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of your prefects, me, or Leon. Thank you.

Hogwarts Students
No matter how it happened, the fact remains that we have two champions. This is very exciting and absolutely a great inter-house relationship building opportunity. Congratulations to both Cedric and Harry. We should all be ready and willing to support them both as much as possible.

Cedric
My congratulations! Again! Honestly, it is so perfect that you were selected and all of Hufflepuff House and, I hope, much of the school, is behind you 100%.

Harry Potter is very famous. It will be interesting to watch the tournament with him in it.

Because it wasn't an appropriate question, Lee.

But if he cheated then we shouldn't support him. You can't just say 'no matter how it happened' because it is actually important how it happened.

I agree, I don't want to support somebody who possibly cheated! Cheaters never prosper anyway.

We don't know for sure he cheated, but it certainly looks that way. I can't cheer for someone I think might have cheated.

It certainly looks that way. But that is just my opinion. Either way somebody cheated and Hogwarts now has two champions and we look bad.

There isn't really a good way we can come out of this because if one of our champions wins then it looks like we won because we had an advantage and if one of the other champions wins then it looks like we lost even though we had an advantage.

Calm down, there is no evidence anyone cheated. Jumping to conclusions is a fool's move.

FOUR champions were chosen instead of just three. That sounds like cheating to me.

Creating a cheating hysteria isn't going to help anyone. We just need to relax until the Professors tell us otherwise. Regardless of how we feel and yes, this seems to be very Potter, a bias is always shown when Potter finds himself in trouble, we need to set an example for the other schools and not allow ourselves to resort to name calling. We all know Cedric was our champion, he was chosen fair and square and somehow we ended up with two. Show support for your house champion and ignore Potter, the odds are he probably isn't going to win anyways.

I'm not trying to create a hysteria but Samantha said that we should support both champions even if one of them cheated and I don't think that is right. I think we should only support people if we think they didn't cheat. I suppose as headgirl she has to support everybody and not let her feelings get in the way but I don't have to do that because I am not a headgirl and I don't think I should.

Now Barney I never once implied that anyone cheated. I just said that no matter how it happened we need to be supported. I truly believe that if Dumbledore and some of the other people in charge suspected that Harry cheated, then he wouldn't be allowed to compete.

They probably don't have any choice but to let him compete even if they have suspicions, what with the binding magical contract Dumbledore talked about.

Exactly I don't think that him competing means that he didn't cheat because there was no choice to make him not compete.

No but everyone thinks he cheated so you saying that no matter how it happened is like saying that it doesn't matter if he cheated.

Somebody cheated and it makes the most sense that he would cheat for himself rather than someone else cheating for him.

Well, what I meant was listen and then think, really. People should certainly form their own opinions. But also Dumbledore picked you and the Head Boy for a reason, and I think it makes sense to take your opinions into account when forming our own.
