Priscilla + Croix
11/22 | Secret Apartment | PG-13?
⚠Emotions, cursing, potential devolving into sex
Priscilla knew this was a bad idea. She should have ignored Croix's texts and calls, should have refused to give in and agree to meet him when he begged her to do so. Nothing good could come of this meeting but her traitorous heart cared. She missed, despite everything and despite knowing there was nothing they could do to change the way their circumstances had played out or been set up. As hurt as she was, though, Pris longed to see his face. She wanted those easy smiles that she'd never seen Croix give another in their court. She wanted that look in his eyes when he thought she hadn't noticed him staring at her. It was an impossible want, of course, and that was something she intended to tell him today.
Provided she could follow through with it, that is.
As she'd gotten dressed that morning, it had felt a little like dressing for war. The simple skirt and blouse felt more like armor than mere clothes and she tried to shake off the nerves that threatened to overwhelm her. This wasn't one of their dates or even a secret rendezvous, and yet Pris was going to make sure that she looked her absolute best. If she didn't, her parents would definitely let her hear about it. If she did, she felt like she had some semblance of power in their dynamic, not to mention maybe he'd be a touch distracted.
Pris would know this apartment anywhere, though it still carried a lot of traumatic and abusive memories with it. That was just another thing she was going to have to ignore today, though..
