GREATEST DESIRE/MOTIVATION: To see her sister's business thrive as a way to fund themselves. On a personal level, she would like to become more self-sufficient. Though her confidence in the area isn't especially high, the idea of writing and selling her own music is something she dreams about.
GREATEST FEAR: That Flora will be married off and she will be left with her father.
ROYAL AMBITION: If it came to another family to support, it would be the Rosiers out of family loyalty. She has no genuine interest in the crown. Even her marriage aspirations are not grand.

HISTORY

TOP 5 DEFINING MOMENTS:

Death of her mother: It will be a day she will always remember. She and Flora were pulled from class at mid-day to be told her mother had died from a fall down the stairs. The connotations of such a statement rang in her ears... Though Flora was not convinced by the explanation, Hestia refused to think the worst of her father just then. Over the years, she has battled with this and can't quite bring herself to think he could have done it despite everything.

House Sorting: Hestia went into the sorting process without any requirements. While her father likely would have preferred her to be sorted into Slytherin, she knew she lacked many of the traits. Instead, she didn't make any requests and allowed for hat to place her when it felt best. It was one of the best decisions she made as she made a great deal of genuine friendships and it opened her social circle immensely.

Muggle music: Her love for music goes past her own passion for the piano. Thanks to her Hufflepuff sorting, she was placed in a dorm that was primarily filled with Muggleborns. It was here she was introduced to a plethora of Muggle bands, her favourite being Oasis. She would give just about anything to see them live.

Relationship with Rosiers: Alecto and Evan have offered them sanctuary during times when the house really was truly unbearable. Hestia has a great deal of respect for Alecto, especially as she was able to make a life for herself. She admires her independence and she views her as someone to aspire to--especially as marriage was her stepping stone away from the poverty of the Carrow name.

Birthdays: Through the years, their birthdays have not been especially memorable by most standards. However, Hestia has always made a fuss of such things even with limited resources. Even at Hogwarts, all of their birthdays consisted of a tea-party, bunting and usually a muffin with a single candle (even though she was likely able to get something a bit more substantial together at Hogwarts, it was a tradition that stuck). It's her favourite time of the year, and she relishes being able to spoil her sister, even if it doesn't appear much from the outside.

HAPPIEST MEMORY: The day her father started her piano lessons. Though they were short-lived, they gave her the start to pursue teaching herself on her mother's old piano.
WORST MEMORY: (Warning: reference to sexual abuse; checked with Stacey regarding this plot). One night when her father came home, completely drunk, he started to refer to Hestia (17) by her mother's name. While he didn't get to the point of sexually abusing her, he had her pinned against the wall and Hestia was very aware of where it would lead. Flora came home in time and flew in a blind rage at him. From that point on, she has been terrified of being alone with him. She tries to avoid it any cost--leaving the house, waiting for Flora before heading home, or heading to the Rosiers.
BIGGEST SECRET: Her passion for Muggle music. She doubts very much that her father would approve of such pursuits, as well as her friendships with Muggleborns. To him, she tries to portray herself as a simple lady: domestic and musical.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?: Still planning a great escape with her sister, and hoping to get whisked away by Mr Darcy (or Liam Gallagher).
DIFFERENCE FROM CANON: Not a lot known about her in canon form.

WRITING SAMPLES

FIRST PERSON: I think I'm doing rather well on my New Year's resolutions this year. I've told myself I must commit to at least an hour a day writing my own music ~~and not being distracted listening to other artists.~~

Flora
Oasis are touring this summer! Do you think we can find a way to at least stand outside the stadium so I can absorb their musical talent through the air? We could maybe try to bribe the people on the door... or... I need a plan! And a banner that says: Will you marry me Liam? How quickly can you brew Amortentia?

I also think Prince is ill. He's not jumping right.

THIRD PERSON: N/A

PLOT IDEAS: I would love to see how she deals with her sister being away more often as she tries to build her business, as well as the very twisted relationship with her father. She's more than willing to be arranged in a marriage as she doesn't think there's a man alive who could be worse than her father. Oh, and silliness involving her love of Oasis would be entertaining for me.
