General Rules

Introduction

Note from the Writer: I am over twenty-five and have been in the rpc for several years. I have several muse journals on this site, from various fandoms. I claim no ownership of or affiliation with these fandoms or their creators, nor do I claim to be the people you see in my icons and photos.

However, what I do claim ownership to are my drabbles, edited graphics, and personal headcanons pertaining to my characters and their storylines.

guidelines & rules

  1. I am a selective roleplayer. I reserve the right to unfriend anybody for any reason. I also reserve the right to block if your attitude/personality is nasty/problematic. I will also drop you if you're passive-aggressive. It's not cute, and I would rather jump off a cliff than deal with you being shady. I don't have time for that.
  2. I will not write with you if you are not at least the age of twenty-one. Most of my characters have a multitude of mature themes. I prefer to write with people closer to my own age, and I reserve that right.
  3. I do not tolerate OOC drama. Instigators will be blocked, end of story. Sour attitudes can quickly ruin what is supposed to be fun, and I intend to make sure people don't mess that up for me. I will not tolerate OOC racism, LGBTQ+ phobia, ableism, or sexism on my page.
  4. Storytelling takes precedence over perfect spelling/grammar but I still hold a certain standard to the latter. If I cannot make out what you're trying to say, and you refuse to change, I will not write with you. I will not write with people that talk like they're twelve, either. Please try your best to use proper English spelling and grammar. Use punctuation, capitalization, and don't clump all your writing together in one huge wall of words. Paragraphs are a thing for a reason.

general etiquette

  1. God-Moding: As it always goes, no controlling my character is allowed. If you really feel the need to control my character for whatever reason, message me first. I will give you the same courtesy. You take care of your character, I'll take care of mine. If you do not ask permission first and control my characters' actions or words in your reply, I will delete you.
  2. Canon Puncturing/Meta-gaming: This kind of differs from character to character, depending on their source material but generally, do not tell my character they're fictional, and do not use your OOC knowledge of my character in an IC context if it doesn't make sense for your character to know certain things.
  3. Replies: I'm going to be honest here, I take forever and a day to reply. I can be a little self-conscious about my writing, and that's part of why my replies take so long. Sometimes I reply really fast because muse is high and I feel good about myself and my writing, sometimes I have taken two years to reply to a thread because I'm just in a funk. It's not personal. It is what it is. I follow my muse. Sometimes I just mull over the words in my head but I try to put them "on paper" and it just isn't working for me. Feel free to give me a gentle nudge like 'hey how is that reply coming, are you okay?' but do not be passive-aggressive like "sorry my writing sucks so much you can't reply to me" or you can find yourself off my owes list.
  4. Reply Length: I prefer quality over quantity. I know I can get carried away sometimes and send you a whole-ass novel, but don't ever feel like you have to match my insanity. I fluctuate between writing like two or three paragraphs to going full-ass novella. It really just depends. But if I write you like ten paragraphs, don't come back at me with one measly little thing that doesn't do anything to move the story ahead.
  5. Storylines: I don't really like discussing storylines. I prefer to banter first and then see how our writing chemistry is. I will not enter a storyline discussion with somebody I know I won't enjoy writing with; it's a waste of my time and it's a waste of yours, too.
  6. Can you explain your character to me? -- I hate being asked this question. If you added me first, I expect you to at least skim over something on my page (such as my dossier/biosheet) before you message me for a connection storyline. I have worked too hard on my characters for my information to not be looked over.

Original Characters

I don't care if you use a minimalist layout, but if you want to actively write with me, I need details. Plain and simple. I will absolutely not be pitching the idea of a storyline to you, if you insist on having no information about your character on your page aside from your name.

On Discord, everybody has their username and the hashtag with the # and their four-digit discriminator at the end. Until you tell me what makes your character tick, you might as well be original character#1234 that changed their nickname on the RP server to John Deere or Jane Doe.

I will absolutely try to pitch an idea to you if I see you have a filled out layout or a dossier post, no matter how big or small it is. As long as you give me stuff to work with, I try my best. I just get tired of seeing OCs with empty/minimalist layouts that don't give any identifying information for their character outside a name. OCs are not like canon characters. I can't Google them if I get stuck.
