I've been thinking of getting a dog. I keep walking by the Magical Menagerie every day during my lunch and there's a small display in the window about a litter of beagle pups born six weeks ago. It's quiet where I live and some company might be nice.

I found that Tarot deck I was looking for. Evidently this deck was printed in Marseilles during the late 1500s, specifically for a well-to-do wizarding family. I'm not sure, but I think some of the cards might be missing. I came by a modern deck as well, consisting of both the Major and Minor Arcana for a total of 78 cards. The old deck is entirely in French, but I plan to put it on display this week with translations and a history - or as much of one as I can find.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm really looking forward to the festival that's coming up a few weeks from now. If you weren't already aware of it, there should be posters going up 'round Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade in the next few days. The museum will have a booth set up with an educational display and we will be accepting donations, though the focus is more to get the word out about us. If anyone has a bit of free time while they're in Diagon Alley, you should stop by the museum. The collections are growing daily. Just this morning we got in a shipment of rare artifacts from Russia. Some of the pieces are on loan from private benefactors, so they won't be here for very long. Even if you only come in to escape the heat for a while, we welcome any and all visitors.
