His eyes narrowed, "Leadership is hard. Do not use it as an excuse for his behavior. Believe me, it does not change who you are, only makes it more, pronounced. He was the same wolf, same man your leader or not. He could just do more damage as leader." He nearly growled. He wasn't taken aback by his assessment but smiled, pressing against his rib, nails almost breaking skin. "If you think I allowed you into my sanctuary for your blood, you underestimate me. Again."
