Riley took a step forward and to the side, craning his head to the right to observe Tao in a gesture that was far more like a wolf than anything else. "I don't need anything from you." He said through gritted teeth. He felt very strange, like he was speaking a foreign language with his lips and his body. "I don't trust you as far as you could throw me." He continued. "And I don't need anyone yapping about me when I've just become alpha." He barely even knew what he was talking about anymore. It was a big question mark hanging above his head in a thick cloud that threatened to dull his senses and his judgment.
