He tried not to be surprised that the shifter had followed. Part of the game was knowing it could go either way. At any moment it could go either way. He watched Riley enter, pace, and shoved his hands into his pockets to keep from doing anything. He'd played his hand, now he'd wait.
"I like to be prepared, and I enjoy my privacy. No one enters this room, but me, or with me. It's a, different kind of sanctuary." He purposefully kept his gaze forward.
