Decision made and still Tao found he didn't relax, if anything he was more on edge. He hadn't moved far from the door, so without glancing away from the large golden wolf, laying in front of him. he reached back and closed the door.

He'd wondered about that fur, not that he'd admit it. Too many shifters spent most of their time in wolf form and their fur was wiry, bristled and mangy. Worse they seemed proud of it, as if it made them more animal, more real. His tongue snuck out to run over his bottom lip and he kept the collar in one hand as the other reached out to snake fingers through the fur around the neck. His fur was surprisingly soft, warm, and with the golden color he could almost imagine it was from laying in the sunshine. He'd barely remembered the sun these days.

His fingers curled in the fur, pulling at it lightly as he brought the collar around and fastened it, just tight enough to feel it at all times, but not restrictive. He purred in his chest. He would be hard pressed to decide which form was more attractive, but both held enough strength that the idea of him submitting sent heat curling in his stomach.
